INSANITY, not only is it the best album of her career, but one of the best albums EVER MADE. She's never had an album so cohesive, sonically or thematically before or since. Her vocals were pretty much the best they ever were (apart from maybe Your Disco and the ''opera'' bits) and the whole thing feels exciting and inventive, which are 2 words I wouldn't ever associate with Kylie outside of the DeCon period.

07 | Rhythm Of Love

Average Score: 7.95
Highest Scores: 10 (Niall Minogue, Duggie001, Aphrodite) 9 (mr aly)
Lowest Scores: 5 (Heezus, liamk97) 7 (Liam, aeroco)

And our higest placing PWL album is the Rhythm of Love album, Kylie's 3rd release for the label. GONE was the innocent Bubblegum Pop Kylie who would relax in bubble baths
and in came a SEX Kylie, who would dance around near naked men with her bra straps falling off her shoulders, the hussy. The album was kicked off with the firt realy gay anthem
of Kylie's career; Better The Devil You Know, which has gone on to be one of her best known and loved tunes. The album is alot more mature sounding than her previous ones and
Kylie's look during the time reflect that, or vice versa, depends on how you look at it. The sound was still typically Kylie-esque but with that extra oomph of sexy in it. It didn't fare
as well as her other albums in terms of sales, but the review were pretty positive, so, yeah. This album is home to the GEMS that are Secrets and Things Can Only Get Better, aswell
as the funky Step Back In Time, one of her best ever songs, fact.
Apart from Fever, ROL is the only other album to have the best series of singles with consistent sound and theme.
rhythm of love is lower than expected, the most consistant set of singles if her career and sime would say some if her most defining singles.
I wasn't that keen on Rhythm of Love but my God 'Better the Devil You Know' and 'Step Back in Time' are FANTASTIC!! The former is nothing short of an anthem and was certainly a career changer, with influences of this being heard in the following ROL singles, 'What Kind of Fool' and her post-2000 singles. I think the album would easily be a highlight for me if it all followed this fun, exciting sound rather than a more mature one.
"Rhythm Of Love" is a fantastic album, and I do agree it did have the best run of singles and also I loved her sexy straightened hair which even made me fancy her. But "Better The Devil You Know" was and still is one of my all time faves and such an iconic change for her, apart from the singles the tracks I like are "Secrets", "Always Find The Time" and "Things Can Only Get Better". Also glad that Abbey Road Sessions is top 10 on this rate.

So this means the ones left are Impossible Princess, Light Years, Fever, Ultimate Kylie, X and Aphrodite and here's what I think the final results should/could be =

01. Light Years

02. Fever

03. Ultimate Kylie

04. X

05. Impossible Princess

06. Aphrodite

L TO THA OL! Kylie's most successful album ends up peaking lower than one of her least successful in this rate. This might come a a bit of a shock to some, to others, it's pretty damn
funny. Now, there is nothing overly wrong with this album, but to me, it's easily her most overrated album and alot of it is kinda....over polished and cold. That being said, Love Affair,
Fragile, Fever and Love At First Sight are all gems. With a lead single like Can't Get You Out Of My Head, it's no wonder that this album was a major hit, topping the charts and selling
bucketloads of copies basically everywhere. There are some real duds in this album though, namely the total tripe that is the opener More, More, More, serious WTF? there. There
have been a fair few leaks of cast-offs from this era, all of which deserved a spot on the album, especially Music Will Always Love You, even though only a minute of it has leaked.
Someone leak the full verison please.

Fever to me is pretty much a perfect pop album with a real sense of direction (although it'd be 100% perfect if 'Give It To Me' was replaced by 'Tightrope').

'Love Affair' is definitely the non-single highlight, agreed on that.

The title track is the best on the album in my opinion, and her performance on ITV An Audience is perfect!

I was never keen on Fever at first, I just found it a bit of a chore to get through and Light Years massively overshadowed it for me. However in more recent times I am shocked that I ever had such an opinion of it! The singles have always been excellent: 'Love at First Sight' and 'In Your Eyes' are pop perfection and 'Head' is always a pleasure to hear (and especially to see THAT dress in the video!! *.*) although its simplicity makes it a little weaker than the two songs I mentioned.

'Love Affair' is definitely the non-single highlight, agreed on that.

I second that! 'Dancefloor' and 'Burning Up' are also favourites of mine, and to a slightly lesser level is 'More More More' (what makes you hate it Regina? :().

Wow I am surprised that Fever has finished this low, but still it is a fantastic album and I do still love the first 3 singles = "CGYOOMH", "IYE" and "LAFS" where the latter is one of my all time fave singles ever, and also tracks like "Fever" which should have been the 4th single, Dancefloor, Love Affair, Burning Up and Fragile. I do agree that "More, More, More" is a dud and still not too keen on "Come Into My World" and "Tightrope" should have definately made the standard edition and could have been a possible single.

We're down to the final 5 abums now, oooooooh. Incase you don't know, they are Impossible Princess, Light Years, Utimate Kylie, X and Aphrodite.

Predictions?

1. Light Years

2. Ultimate Kylie

3. X

4. Impossible Princess

5. Aphrodite

I'm very pleased with those 5 albums being in the Top 5! I think Ultimate Kylie may be able to win it - I suspect Light Years and X got more higher scores but Ultimate Kylie will manage it due to having more consistent good scores which will give it a higher average.
