MKTO actually do have a very small number of sales for this week, I assume it was available on other sites but not on iTunes yet.

Or some imports.

I feel like I've just stepped back into 1999. :o

I always see a lot of imports on Amazon when I prep the songs for the chart

Thank you for posting these charts Thermo! That is quite annoying that they've nuked both charts to a top 40, especially as the streaming chart was available as a full top 100 up until last week (as well as obviously the sales-only chart) but I suppose that means less work for you :P

Hopefully C+ will carry the full T100.

Ed Sheeran's All Of The Stars also sold zero copies this week as only available on deluxe CD

It's been available to download from The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack since Monday.

And is in fact not available to stream at all (unless it's been added since Thursday), so it is streaming which has contributed nothing to its position :P

Jeez at 'Clarity'. Is it barely being streamed or has its sales just collapsed?

The former. Although it could be the latter too, but we don't know where it is on the sales chart.

So it's deffo Nico & Vinz first chart hit with zero sales?

As long as you aren't one of those people that only considers the top 75 to be 'chart hits', yes :D I imagine it will enter the top 75 before its download release anyway though as its streaming will surely only rise.

11 N 1 Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea Problem

What, people are actually listening to that screechy noise?

just my onion (it brings tears to my eyes) but the first "New Combined" chart is pretty crappy. Over 10% of it is one act's album occupying slots, more or less (they aren't really SINGLES it's just people not bothering to listen to the crappier tracks so they appear to be singles rather than an album). Boring.

Apart from 3 new hits (wow! 3 whole new entries!!!) mostly it's just last week's chart plus oldies going up a bit. ~Boring.

So, this exciting new era is officially boring.

Just my opinion.....

The top 40 is barely different to the sales-based top 40 so it'd be 'boring' either way. And Ed took up over 10% of the top 100 last week as well on sales alone. :P

Can I just say that #16 for John Barrowman is pretty good for an independent, fan funded album. :cheer:

I wonder if its success will prompt any other artists to go the fanfunding route if they find themselves without a record label? (JB did it via Pledgemusic, at the suggestion of fans).

It was great fun for the fans as well. as the money was raised by buying things (pre-ordering the album, tshirts, visits to the recording studio to watch it being made, and lots more goodies)

11 9 17 Paloma Faith A Perfect Contradiction
First 16 weeks in the top 10. What an achievement for her.

19 21 5 Clean Bandit New Eyes

This is holding up fairly well so far (aided by Glastonbury this week). Hope it can reach gold eventually.

30 18 123 Lana Del Rey Born To Die (113wks T75)

Glastonbury sales boost aside, the demand that seems to still be there for this, both prior to the release of 'Ultraviolence' and now, seems disproportionately large when you look at the sales and three week chart run of its follow-up. (Not sure I'm expressing this well as I was under no illusion that 'Ultraviolence' would do anywhere near as well as 'Born To Die' but I guess I'm just surprised with how 'Born To Die' seems to be selling independent of the artist's name to a large degree). I wonder if/when 'Ultraviolence' will fall behind it within the top 200 .

97 94 11 Iggy Azalea The New Classic

This seems to always scrape a top 100 placing!

Hopefully C+ will carry the full T100.

Thinking further on this - they surely must be going to carry the full T100, as there would be no point them paying the OCC to carry something you could find for free on the OCC's website. The same must apply to the other extended charts C+ carry.
