18 Britney Spears - Toxic

I promised two more Britney songs, and here's one of them! Toxic is most definitely a pop classic, still really well known right now and possibly one of Britney's signature songs (I'd say she has two - this and ...Baby One More Time). The video is VERY memorable also, I mean, who could forget Britney as an air hostess, taking an overweight guy into the toilet and unmasking him?? Plus the outfit in the screengrab below *.*

17 Sugababes - About You Now

The final appearance of the Sugababes is at #17 with one of their biggest hits. About You Now is a fantastic girl group track, my third favourite going by this countdown and my favourite non-Girls Aloud girl group song. 3.0 was without a doubt my favourite line-up of the group

16 Girls Aloud - Sexy! No No No...

DID YOU TELL HIM? NO NO NO

GIVE HIM KISSES? NO NO NO

WHISPER "HONEY"? NO NO NO

"YOU'RE DELICIOUS"?

This racy Girls Aloud track makes it to just outside the top 15, with it being their second highest track. I remember getting my dad to pick up CD2 of this on his way home from work in an HMV  I absolutely loved the song at the time and still do now, it's so very underrated.

I remember the premier date for 'Sexy!...' SO well. I got up super early (obvs) and had the radio recording so I could listen back over and over (hadn't joined the dark side of the internet at this point). It came on and it hit me so hard outta nowhere (:kink:). I was eager for my dad to sod off to work and when he did I played it back until at least midday.

I never thought they'd top it. But they did. :P

It's just flawless from start to finish. Exactly the kinda thing we expect from them, but also very different if that makes sense? We expect some bold, brashy upbeat tracks from GA but Sexy! isn't like any of their other tracks at all.

15 Britney Spears - Everytime

My favourite Britney song now  Britney is at her most vulnerable in this track, a gorgeous ballad with a really powerful video - one of my favourites of all time. I remember it being all over the music channels, and was definitely at the peak of my Britney love.

14 Delta Goodrem - I Can't Break It To My Heart

Perhaps shockingly, this is my highest Delta track! She's my third favourite artist overall but can't quite make the top 10 here, sadly. I Can't Break It To My Heart is such an underrated song IMO, I know Rich isn't huge on it in comparison to many other Delta tracks but I've always found it gorgeous, was hooked on it for a while in 2010 (never knew the Delta album existed until then )

(for some reason the music video isn't on YouTube anymore)

13 Lily Allen - The Fear

Queen Lily's last appearance now  The Fear isn't my #1 Lily song but in terms of an all-time list, it felt right to rank it higher than Hard Out Here which is considerably newer and fresher in my mind, although if I were to do this list in a year or two, I have no doubt I'd rank Hard Out Here higher than this. The Fear was Lily's comeback single in 2009, and she did it in style. The Fear spent several weeks at #1 officially and would have done the same in my chart had I compiled one then (at the age of 12 ). I remember being so excited to get her 2nd album, and I remember bring my portable CD player (!) into school so I could listen to the album on the bus on the way home LMAO.

(the video isn't on YouTube?!?!?!)

Fantastic last few songs

About you now is a classic and an amazing girlband song

Love sexy no no no

AND THE FEAR    I think it's like my 9th favourite song of all time. Always loved it. I remember doing 2009 charts a couple of years ago and it spent something like 25 weeks in my top 10

Ohhh I see, how odd. I swear they used to have the proper music video there :(

Thanks for commenting yet again to all of you

12 Natalie Imbruglia - Shiver

Natalie Imbruglia's 2nd most known song (after Torn ofc) is at #12 here, her highest entry. This was the first Natalie song I heard I believe, loved it right away. I remember buying CD2 of this in MVC (!) and then going to Woolworths (!) afterwards and seeing the album, so I bought that too  The whole Counting Down The Days album is great, perhaps another silly exclusion of mine from my top 20 albums list.

11 Alyssa Reid - Alone Again

I think we should let this chart run from my personal chart speak for itself.

Yes, that is totally legit. Anyone would think I like the song.

(Pt. 2 is better than the rap versions although I love them all)

Some clues about the top 10:

- One artist has two tracks in there. This artist hasn't previously featured in the countdown so far. Any guesses as to who?

- The most recent song is from 2012.

- The oldest song is from 2004.

- Only two songs have male lead artists.

Any guesses as to what features????

Shiver is a dream  CDTD is a joy to listen to, her best album, only just ahead of White Lilies Island.
