I dont agree with the addition of videos, but an extension of the download rule would be great for the chart. I would also like them to remove the delete rule, as this ruins the chart, imo.

I agree with the general opinion on here. All download sales should be included. If it sells enough to make the chart, it should make the chart. Physical sales are still the dominant force by the look of it anyway. Remember only one song has got to number one on downloads alone- but the combined chart is a more acurate reflection of what people are buying and its good to see songs climbing.

I also agree that the "52 weeks" and "once deleted it is not allowed to chart" rules are stupid. If people are still wanting to buy it that should be reflected.

Including airplay would be daft as well. Airplay can be, and is, bought. You only have to look at how downright stupid the Hot 100 looked a few years ago when it was based almost entirely on airplay.

So when they are planning to change the rules?? I hope they will do it soon

If they do change the rules will be March/April 2007 from that period will come into force, as all the changes have been in that time period, when downloads were first included.

 sooooo far away - I thought it might happen till the end of year... but then Uk chart might look like Hot 100 with high debuts, then quick fall and another rise...

Justin, Christina, Scissor Sisters must have lost out on a good 70,000 downloads each because they weren't counted until a week prior to the physical release.

They haven't lost out sales - they still sold those downloads - its just that the figures won't actually be included when total sales are given!

Well when the year-end figures are announced Christina Aguilera would be 69,458 sales short in the year-end chart because her early download only sales do not count.

Yet Gnarl Barkley - Crazy who deleted the single early from the chart still includes the sales made after the single had been discontinued from the chart.

That is NOT FAIR!
