Ouch at only #16 for this, to think it seemed like a close race between her and Sam Smith for Sound of 2014 :o Sam has turned out to be the rightful winner of that by miles.

First time hearing this anyhow.

Album Discussion Here

The Vamps! Only just got into their debut after not thinking too much of it when I first listened.

Pretty disappointing song from Ella. I kinda get the comparison to 'Love Me Again' but if anything it's just a very bland version of that :( (cue jokes about the original being bland).

Another massive drop from the top 5 for The Vamps. They and 5SOS are nicely filling in the 'new McFly' role, although with rather better longevity post the 2nd week drops.

Somebody To You  I love it so much. Was hoping it would have a bit more stability than this :(.
glad the vamps have had a massive slump ~ dire track

Biography

John Roger Stephens (born December 28, 1978), better known by his stage name John Legend, is an American singer-songwriter and actor. He has won nine Grammy Awards, and in 2007, Legend received the special Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Prior to the release of his debut album, Legend's career gained momentum through a series of successful collaborations with multiple established artists. Legend added his voice to those of other artists, assisting in them reaching chart-topper hits. He lent his voice to Magnetic Man's "Getting Nowhere," Kanye West's "All of the Lights", on Slum Village's "Selfish" and Dilated Peoples' "This Way". Other artists included Jay-Z's "Encore", and he sang backing vocals on Alicia Keys' 2003 song "You Don't Know My Name", the Kanye West remix of Britney Spears' "Me Against the Music", and Fort Minor's "High Road". Legend played piano on Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything". - Wikipedia

'Somebody To You' is easily their best so far
Who is out of the top 40?
'I See Fire' missing the top 10 was unusual considering it's been big elsewhere in the world. But 'Don't' doesn't have an 'impact date' yet AFAIA and it isn't on the R1 playlist yet (though it is on Capital) so it's far too early to write it off as a top 10 miss, I'm sure it'll get there later on. 'Thinking Out Loud' should easily go top 10 if it's made a proper single as well.

(Strictly speaking 'I See Fire' isn't a single from the album, it's only included as a bonus track on the deluxe edition - it was released to promote the Hobbit film which may explain why it peaked lowly by his standards to some extent).

I have the feeling this will be a Beyonce sort of situation where two songs eat each other up a bit. We'll see.

I See Fire is his biggest hit here, Sing is fairly close though.
