July 24, 201410 yr 23. Theme To St Trinian's The track did manage to chart at #51 thanks to high downloads, but was soon taken off iTunes due to the upcoming release of "Call The Shots". It made it to #51 a few weeks after Call The Shots peaked at #3. The week after it climbed to #44 in the Tues midweeks, and went as high as #30 on iTunes before it was deleted, so it could have gone Top 40 if they'd left it! :( I don't know why they bothered deleting it - the "damage" was already done when it reached#51. Its deletion ended up making it fall to #123. However it was put back on sale again in April and reentered the chart. July 24, 201410 yr I don't mind Long Hot Summer but it's certainly one of their weaker singles. It's fun though!
July 25, 201410 yr 'Something New' is better than your faves, sorry. x http://31.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mco1qit6zb1qfvul4o1_r1_500.gif
July 25, 201410 yr Walk This Way seems pretty disliked by the fans of both groups and its placing in this result is in no way a surprise.

The Promise xPrZ4yAdj8I Avg: 6.842 Highest Rates = 10 (JosephStyles, Niall Minogue, Jay, Doug, Insomnio) Lowest Rates = 0 (J*hq, Jsily), -1 (Heezus & Nick F1) At #18 is "The Promise" which is the first real shock in this countdown, given the fact that it's one of their most successful hits, but Buzzjack have spoken, with just five 10's, but four 0's and -1's and a few average scores, but there were also a lot of 8's and 9's which did kinda balance it out, but it did get very mixed towards the end. Released in October 2008 and taken as the lead single from their 5th and final studio album "Out Of Control" and entered the UK charts at #1, becoming their 4th overall and first original since "SOTU" in 2002, with first week sales of 77,110 copies their 2nd highest first week sales of their career, and went on to become the 17th highest selling single of the year and certified Gold, their 2nd biggest selling hit.

I'll Stand By You SeEq2tlD6WY Avg: 6.961 Highest Rates: 10 (Ultraviolence) Lowest Rates: 2 (Umi) At #17 is "I'll Stand By You", Released in November 2004 as the official Children In Need charity single and originally sung by The Pretenders where their version reached #10 in 1994, then 10 years later Girls Aloud took it to the top spot for 2 weeks and ended up selling over 240,000 copies and certified Silver. The song was taken from their second album "What Will The Neighbours Say" as the 4th single and after 3 #2's in a row, the girls finally got another #1. The track's release was announced just 10 days before the official release and the original version they recorded got scrapped and described as weird. This track only managed one 10 on this rate and only managed it towards the end, but did manage quite a few 8's and 9's.
July 25, 201410 yr OUCH at 'The Promise', it's not my favourite of theirs but I thought it would be top 15 at least.

Jump rk7zhB_m4gc Avg: 7.461 Highest Rates: 10 (Mr Aly, J*hq, Jsily, Ultraviolence, Insomnio) Lowest Rates: 0 (JoeP), 2 (Mike Sugafan) At #16 is "Jump" which is the final cover to feature in this countdown and also the first Girls Aloud released. Originally sung by The Pointer Sisters in 1984 and peaked at #6, and Girls Aloud version released in November 2003 and peaked at #2 and certified Silver. The track was featured on the re-release version of their debut album "Sound Of The Underground" and then again featured on their follow up "What Will The Neighbours Say". Originally "Some Kind Of Miracle" was gonna be the 4th single, but they decided to record "Jump" instead for the Love Actually movie, and it turned out to be a better choice and again continuing their string of top 3 hits.

Love Machine owJHNSF9bm0 Avg: 7.615 Highest Rates: 11 (Kellyannmarie), 10 (JoesephStyles, Niall Minogue, Jay, J*Hq, Ultraviolence, Insomnio) Lowest Rates: -1 (Cameron) At #15 is "Love Machine" and again another shocker, I thought this would have been a lot higher, but it did manage a lot of high rates with six 10's, and 15 high rates, but it was a couple of low rates that brought it's average down lower. Released in September 2004 as the 2nd/3rd single from their "What Will The Neighbours Say" album and originally the girls disliked the song, saying it was too different and thought it could end their run of hits, finding it odd and was gonna release "Deadlines & Diets" instead, but they were persuaded and it became a wise choice, as critics and fans instantly loved it and became another #2 hit for them, giving them 6 top 3 hits in a row.

Life Got Cold wurjnwmtrqk Avg: 7.75 Highest Rates: 10 (Heezus, AdamAloud, Lukuzz, Mike Sugafan) Lowest Rates: 0 (JoeP) 5 (Umi) At #14 is "Life Got Cold" released in August 2003 as their third single from "Sound Of The Underground" album. Originally "Some Kind Of Miracle" was gonna be released, but due to overwelming fan responce "LGC" got released instead and took a change of direction for the girls at the time, taking a more moody guitar ballad, after the first two singles were fast paced and rocky. It became another hit peaking at #3 behind Blu Cantrell's "Breathe" at #1 and Lemar "Dance (With U)" at #2. This track gained mainly high scores on this rate, with four 10's, 12 8's and 9's and just two low scores.
July 25, 201410 yr OMG 'Love Machine' out as well! Apart from 'Life Got Cold''s early exit these results are going so WELL!
July 25, 201410 yr Stunned that 'Love Machine' missed the top 10 :o I thought that was a very popular song among the fans, it's certainly one of their biggest hits.
July 25, 201410 yr I'll stand by you and love machine are in their top 3 best songs. They should have been higher
July 25, 201410 yr See The Day and Beautiful Cause You Love me are 2 of my favs! Nicola SLAYS in both.

Whole Lotta History ozx-VvqO_ys Avg: 7.769 Highest Rates: 10 (JoesephStyles, JoeP, Leonardo, Lukuzz, Kellyann) Lowest Rates: 5 (Nick F1) At #13 is "Whole Lotta History" released in March 2006 and taken as the 4th and final single from their 3rd album "Chemistry". "WLH" was the girls 4th ballad release and continued their streak of top 10 hits by peaking at #6 in the UK, but it was actually eligible to enter the charts due to new chart rules and entered at #80 due to downloads and then reached it's peak in it#s second week, and overall only managed 5 weeks in the charts as it plummeted down selling only 52,000 copies, becoming their lowest seller up until 2012. The song itself is rather beautiful and Nicola's verse is rather breathtaking. It gained five 10's on this rate, seven 8's and 9's, nine 7's, and only one low score of 5 and a couple of 6's.
