December 1, 201410 yr Author I'M BLAMING SAMMY01!!!!!!!!!! You guys literally have no idea how gutted I am!
December 1, 201410 yr :snif: I really warmed to Beth this season, I wanted to see her escape the hospital and be reunited with Maggie. :( Dawn was an interesting character too so it's a shame she's been killed off too. I suppose it was inevitable that both would die. :( Glad Michonne finally got to do something of note this episode - it was the first in a while that the walkers seemed dangerous again.
December 1, 201410 yr I already knew Beth was gonna die before watching it as I read spoilers and she hadn't filmed anything for the 2nd half of the season that is shooting now. Not sad at all, good riddance. It was a bit of a shit episode all round though. I'm still rolling my eyes at Maggie suddenly being interested in her sister again when she hasn't mentioned her or finding her so far this season. Tyrese and another speech, lord give me strength.
December 1, 201410 yr It's not like Maggie got a lot of screen time, though. Dawn was such a frustrating character. I could never decide whether I liked her or not and it felt like the writers killed her off because they didn't know what to do with her. Speaking of killing, I hated it when Rick ran over and shot Bob #2. It felt a little out of character. Or maybe not, since Rick is clearly the more unstable one! But since when do they kill people for running for their lives...
December 1, 201410 yr I think it's time they killed Rick off. I know it's not going to happen but a bitch can hope :(
December 1, 201410 yr Author Rick is the show. I completely see his transition and see it as being a convincing character change. He hasn't changed in the sense of his heart is still where it belongs, but it's not willing to negotiate much more now. I doubt I would after everything he's been through, personally. The show needs Rick and I think that's been shown in most of the episodes without him, being decent filler at best (well, to me anyway )

Did you not hear Michonne? Maggie thought Beth was already dead.
December 1, 201410 yr It was predicted that she'd be the one to die this season as her character was becoming minor in terms of importance and it was circulating for a while that this would happen. The episode itself was again alright but a bit slow. I had mixed receptions with Dawn but I started to warm to her this episode so it was a shame it ended the way it did :( could have been another survivor if she hadn't been shot in he face by Darryl But back to Beth, the instant shot was very shocking :nocheer: Edited December 1, 201410 yr by NellyXmas. December 1, 201410 yr Did you not hear Michonne? Maggie thought Beth was already dead. Why though, all she knew was what Daryl told her that she was with him and taken. She could have been taken to be a sex slave or something. There was never ever anyone including Maggie whoever said she was dead. When other characters have been taken or are missing the group tries to find them, Maggie's sister is taken she jumps in a bus to Washington. Anyway I'm having a celebratory pizza, bye bitch I mean Beth :teresa:
December 2, 201410 yr I really warmed to Beth this season, so a bit of a shame for her to go. It did kinda feel that the writers just wanted a death mind. That final shot was amazing though. I do wonder where the second half of the season will pick up - I'd presume maybe not right as we left off! Good episode, though it did kinda go slightly off track midway through with some of the Dawn & Beth scenes. I didn't really get the Dawn character. I think she came across better than she did, right up until the end. Think it would have been better if she was just some power mad woman.
December 2, 201410 yr What an episode  That ending though  So shocking. Who the f*** is that black guy after the credits though?

December 2, 201410 yr I had mixed feelings about that episode. Was mightily pissed that a character I'd taken so long to warm to was just killed off for no good reason and so pointlessly! The Dawn character was not explored at all we were just expected to believe that she was a ne're do well! So in fact - TWO decent characters killed off pointlessly.
December 3, 201410 yr I had mixed feelings about that episode. Was mightily pissed that a character I'd taken so long to warm to was just killed off for no good reason and so pointlessly! The Dawn character was not explored at all we were just expected to believe that she was a ne're do well! So in fact - TWO decent characters killed off pointlessly. Completely agree. I would rather have seen Dawn 'turn good' and escape the hospital with Beth. It would've been interesting to have seen more from Dawn and in a different environment. As you pointed out, it took so long to warm to Beth and they just killed her off like that!
December 3, 201410 yr In a way I wish the scene with Beth pushing that male cop down the elevator shaft hadn't happened. He could have been the one killed in the face off, someone not important to the story. Maybe some vital characters could have been seriously injured, but not killed. That elevator shaft scene was ultimately pointless anyway - what was the point of showing Beth/Dawn work as a team, and start to trust each other, only for Dawn to kill Beth anyway? Their character development and relationship ultimately lead to nothing. I know it's a mid season finale and something big is expected to happen, but like Kath says, those two deaths were a waste of character potential. They finally got somewhere with Beth. :( I'm kind of over Maggie & Glenn. If anyone was to die from the main cast, I perhaps wouldn't have minded Glenn dying. I half suspect the pair of them are kept because the Walking Dead fans "ship" their relationship. Their relationship is one of the dullest elements of the show. They also need to get Michonne up front and centre again. Her role during this first half of the season was essentially being a babysitter. Not here for that. The slightly annoying thing about Judith is that it would seem too awful for them to write her out as having died, so she's clearly going to be a permanent fixture in this. I am heartless!
December 3, 201410 yr Judith needs to die now! Most TV shows go downhill when a baby is introduced as they limit plot stories and also filming with babies is very strict. The way they could kill off Judith is for her to die naturally of a something that kids would normally get vaccinated for, but obviously with the world the way is that doesn't happen now. It would show that the threat to life is not just walkers and crazy people now, but such common things that were under control are now a threat. I know it isn't really something they can control, well they can but only one guy can, but not only is Tyrese annoying as hell he is getting fatter by the episode which kind of goes against the struggle for food.
February 8, 201510 yr Same here! Although I have a feeling tonight's episode is just going to be them grieving Beth's death.
