Biography

Although the first solo single from soul-inspired, London-born artist Sam Smith was issued in early 2013, it was his soaring vocal contribution to Disclosure's October 2012 U.K. garage track "Latch" which brought him to most people's attention. For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes

Shame at Louder's low peak, gorgeous ballad and by far their best song..

Louder >>> Welcome To The Jungle > Trouble >>>>>>>>>> Braveheart

Wish 'Stay With Me' would leave already
nice to see Stay With Me finally out the top 10, I don't want it hanging around for too long. I can still tolerate hearing it on the chart show but I'm not listening to it very often out of choice.
There's a clear trend emering now that any new entry that appears at 6-11 in the mids will end up 7-8 places lower by Sunday, rather than the old 1-3 places lower when it was based on sales. I could see this happening to Neon Jungle from a mile off, I'm sure they were #11 on sales, possibly #10.
So much hateness for Stay With Me. It's a great song imo.

Biography

Marc Kinchen (born August 3), known by his stage name MK, is an American DJ & music producer of house music. He hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs "Always" and "Love Changes." Lead vocals on both of those tracks were performed by Alana Simon (songs were credited to MK featuring Alana). The combo also recorded the underground house music classic anthem, "Burning." "Always" peaked at No. 69 in the UK Singles Chart in February 1995. MK also hit the dance chart with "4 You," using the pseudonym 4th Measure Men.

In November 2013, his remix of Storm Queen's song, Look Right Through, reached number-one on the UK Singles Chart.

Aside from his own career as a recording artist, he is also known for the remixes he produced for other artists, such as Celine Dion's single "Misled", which became the first (and only) No. 1 Billboard Dance/Club Play hit of Dion's career. His remixes of Betty Boo's single "Thing Goin' On" brought the song to No. 5 on the same chart. His remixes of "The Message" by Sofia Shinas reached No. 20 on the Dance/Club Play chart. He also produced the remixes of Jody Watley's single "Your Love Keeps Working On Me", which reached No. 2 on that chart. Latest remixes and productions include Lana Del Ray, Dev, Enrique Iglesias, Sky Ferreira, Ellie Goulding, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Tricky.

Kinchen is responsible for the iconic remix for the Nightcrawlers' record, Push the Feeling On, which was used almost twenty years later as the basis of Pitbull's global hit record, Hotel Room Service. The remix was successful internationally, becoming a major No. 3 UK hit. He also assisted Nightcrawlers front-man John Reid with a number of his further releases, but they did not have the same impact on the charts. - Wikipedia

Discussion Thread Here

Aww at this missing out on the top 10. The 90s dance trend definitely seems to be slowing now.
From which song they sample it? I'm not a big fan of this dance track to be honest.
Unfortunate for MK, probably top ten on sales! Obviously everyone wanted another week of Sing in the top ten instead so was streaming it like mad yesterday!

It's a remixed song, not a sample.
