[40] Michael Jackson Ft Justin Timberlake- Love Never Felt So Good La Roux debuted at 46 on sales only with Uptight Downtown but 63 officially FEEL SO SAD FOR CHER LLOYD. SHE WAS ROBBED BIG TIME Edited July 27, 201412 yr by Ultraviolence
July 27, 201412 yr Author Quick question, I'm guessing Cheryl has dropped the Cole bit  She did for her last album, and she's now brought it back. :P
July 27, 201412 yr Sales and streaming differences up now. Cher Lloyd and Kove are this weeks big losers
July 27, 201412 yr Author Ed Sheeran album tracks on their last legs now, only 2 remain in the top 75 (well, 3 including 'Thinking Out Loud') and 3 more have dropped out of the top 100. For some reason 'Tenerife Sea' has managed to climb a place though. No sign anywhere of Troye Sivan - I have a feeling instant grats from EPs are still ineligible to chart, I seem to recall 'Budapest' also looking like it should have been top 100 when it was an instant grat from the 'Did You Hear The Rain?' EP but it didn't even enter the top 200 until the EP came out.
July 27, 201412 yr At least Neon Jungle werent Top 10 on sales I guess. That is so annoying for Cher Lloyd though, bless her! :(
July 27, 201412 yr what a terrible number one! the whole chart is mainly of poor quality unfortunately with too many old, overplayed or simply bad songs. the only advantage of streaming slowing things down this time around would be: - no Top 5 for the childish Boom Clap - no Top 10 for the painfully average Louder - no Top 15 for the overrated Jungle - no Top 40 for the cringeworthy Cher Lloyd
July 27, 201412 yr Oops poor Cher! (and poor Ward Thomas on the album chart!) The streaming only chart is SO dull, ONE new entry and a couple of songs climbing from just outside the top 100...thank god the weighting is only 1 stream to 100 sales, if the proportion ever grows I'll stop listening.
July 27, 201412 yr 'Salute' is holding up really well on the sales chart, it's done so much better than I ever anticipated. :) Poor Cher, that's insanely frustrating.
July 27, 201412 yr that frustrating number 41 for cher llyod  gary barlow back in the top 50 albums :cheer:
July 27, 201412 yr Nice chart run for MAGIC! on the streaming chart: (105)-30-13-2-... The streaming chart is TERMINALLY dull but that is I'd argue the fault of commercial radio and its slow transition into identikit Heart stations nationwide and their reluctance to play anything new.
July 27, 201412 yr Oops poor Cher! (and poor Ward Thomas on the album chart!) The streaming only chart is SO dull, ONE new entry and a couple of songs climbing from just outside the top 100...thank god the weighting is only 1 stream to 100 sales, if the proportion ever grows I'll stop listening. ditto. I'll also be able to cancel my Music Week subscription on the plus side, so that'll save me about £300 a year, which I can then spend on music sales. Or maybe I'll use it to join a streaming chart-contributing site and set it to play the frozen soundtrack 10 times a day for a couple of years (while i'm out of course) just to make the streaming chart even more tedious
The thing is, the proportion will natually be growing constantly, as the sales market is decreasing and the streaming market is growing fast. Sales might end up kind of like how physicals were having less and less impact every year until now where they're practically irrelevent.
July 27, 201412 yr Streaming and buying a song are essentially different although I believe we will see a song debuting at #1 on streaming chart at some point.
