I'm not including songs or albums from 2013, Roar/Habits/Heart Attack would have been top 40/close to it though in the singles and I think Demi and Beautiful by Jessica Mauboy would have challenged for top 10 in the albums. Also sticking to only singles, a couple of my entries weren't UK singles but if I included album tracks I'd be cutting it down forever! Before I start with the albums, here are a few songs/albums which sadly failed to make the cut... Singles: Amy Winehouse - Back To Black Amy Winehouse - Rehab Beyoncé - Sweet Dreams Carrie Underwood - Blown Away Carrie Underwood - Just A Dream Charlotte Church - Crazy Chick Christina Aguilera - Beautiful Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes Duffy - Mercy Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie Fantasia - I Believe Girls Aloud - Sound Of The Underground Human League - Don't You Want Me Janet Jackson - All For You Kate Bush - Hounds Of Love Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl Kelly Clarkson - The Trouble With Love Is Kelly Clarkson - Miss Independent Kelly Clarkson - Low Kelly Rowland - Stole Ke$ha - Tik Tok Kylie Minogue - Red Blooded Woman Lady Gaga - Just Dance LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight Miranda Lambert - Kerosene Nelly Furtado - Maneater P!nk - Sober The Saturdays - All Fired Up Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You Albums: Alicia Keys - The Element Of Freedom Beyoncé - 4 Britney Spears - Blackout Britney Spears - Femme Fatale Carrie Underwood - Blown Away Christina Aguilera - Stripped Diana Vickers - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree Ellie Goulding - Bright Lights Evanescence - Fallen Gabriella Cilmi - Ten Gwen Stefani - Love. Angel. Music. Baby Jessica Mauboy - Been Waiting Kate Bush - The Kick Inside Kate Bush - The Dreaming Kate Nash - Made Of Bricks Katy Perry - One Of The Boys Kylie Minogue - Impossible Princess Leona Lewis - Echo Lily Alen - It's Not Me, It's You Little Mix - DNA Madonna - American Life Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed Miley Cyrus - Breakout Nelly Furtado - Loose Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time Paloma Faith - Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful? P!nk - Funhouse Pixie Lott - Turn It Up Rihanna - Unapologetic Rihanna - Rated R Taylor Swift - Red Speculate, hype, whatever, go :D
August 2, 201410 yr Author 31 Beyoncé - I Am... Sasha Fierce 32 Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes 33 Wynter Gordon - With The Music I Die 34 Marina & The Diamonds - The Family Jewels 35 Kelly Clarkson - Stronger 36 Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad 37 Lana Del Rey - Born To Die 38 Natalia Kills - Perfectionist 39 Selena Gomez & The Scene - Kiss & Tell 40 Ed Sheeran - + Kicking off the top 40 is Ed Sheeran with his 2011 debut +, one of very few male albums to make this countdown, oops. With his blend of radio friendly guitar pop and edgy rap/sung songs, Ed has become one of favourite male singers, particularly thanks to the singles Drunk and You Need Me, I Don't Need You. A perhaps odd/"basic" choice for my top 40 albums is Selena Gomez's debut, but I stanned her hard in 2009 and still adore her. The album houses tunes such as Naturally as well as the lovely I Won't Apologise. The hugely underrated Natalia Kills' debut Perfectionist should have been huge, it baffles me to this day! Wonderland, Love Is A Suicide, Break You Hard and Zombie are pop gems. Lana might have disappointed with Ultraviolence but I still cherish Born To Die as a go-to depressive album, particularly the stunning Summertime Sadness, the pinnacle of her career. Rihanna's first album to be a true smash hit also makes the top 40, and is classic Rihanna through and through. Such a strong singles run, but Cry and Breakin' Dishes are so so flawless too. The first of Kelly's entries is her most recent album (aside from 2013's Christmas album Wrapped In Red), which is classic Kelly done so right! It also boasts a couple of her most underrated songs - the gorgeous guitar ballad Honestly and amazingly 80s tinged Alone. Marina's debut, erratic and brimming with personality, made me fall in love with her in 2010. Stunning album track Obsessions remains possibly her very best track. With The Music I Die was a huge surprise for me as much I loved Dirty Talk! Wall to wall pop perfection, particular the wonderfully melodic Rumba. A mellow dose of piano pop just fails to make the top 30 in the form of Delta Goodrem's 2003 debut. The singles run was so flawless, but it wish Predictable, the best of them, was released properly in the UK! Finishing off this section is the 2008 double album by Beyoncé, split into two discs - one full of ballads and one full of uptempos based on the "real" Beyoncé and her feisty ego Sasha Fierce. It holds some of her best songs, including Halo, Sweet Dreams and Broken Hearted Girl.
August 2, 201410 yr Yay for Delta! Marina's debut is very strong also but I prefer Electra Heart I think. Excited to see the rest of this :D

August 2, 201410 yr Yay at the special mention for Kerosene, it's in my Miranda top 2! SO, so good, she's just got the right attitude and everything.
August 2, 201410 yr Author Ed, Selena, Lana, Natalia & Wynter  Very strong start there for albums! Kiss & Tell love *.* Yay at the special mention for Kerosene, it's in my Miranda top 2! SO, so good, she's just got the right attitude and everything. I worked backwards with Miranda, fell for her with Revolution and then went for the two prior albums, I have more of an affinity for Revolution onwards but her best song is from before then, which you'll see soon :P She has got the right attitude in Kerosene, she always does <3
August 3, 201410 yr So looking at the stuff that just missed the song countdown, I think i am gonna bloody love it But Mercy being missed off
August 3, 201410 yr Author So looking at the stuff that just missed the song countdown, I think i am gonna bloody love it But Mercy being missed off  If this 2008 it would have been #1, I stanned her so hard  Good Girl Gone Bad is still my fave album ever . Everything since then has been flawless so she's only once bettered it *.* Stronger is ALL abouy Breaking Your Own Heart and Standing In Front Of You  http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/trying-to-remember.gif One of her weakest songs :(
August 3, 201410 yr Of the albums I love literally all of them, the second and third best are good girl gone bad and I am sasha fierce. Both fantastic songs by great artists and both of their best. If I were a boy is just stunning in every way And the best of that section is Queen Lana with Born To Die. That album is full of gems to gems and if this was most normal albums, video games (best on the album), born to die, national anthem, summertime sadness, blue jeans and a few more would get 11's on an album rate

August 5, 201410 yr Author 30 Demi Lovato - Here We Go Again The first entry from Disney queen Demi is her second album, released in 2009. It reached #1 on the Billboard and the title track, one of the album's highlights, went top 20. The album wasn't much of a musical departure at all from her pop-rock debut (Everytime You Lie, which is to say the least rather lovely, is quite soulful which was a welcome venture from her comfort zone at the time) but it was a fairly big step up in quality. If you check out nothing else from the album, Catch Me is a must listen, gorgeous <3 29 Girls Aloud - Tangled Up The first group to appear in this countdown, Girls Aloud best album creeps into the top 30. This album is home to the girls' second best single, Sexy... No! No! No!, the risky lead single, as well as flawless album tracks Fling and Girl Overboard, it's just one of those album where it's a shame they didn't release a couple more singles, there was so much potential! 28 Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSounds Another male next, this time trousersnake himself Justin Timberlake! After his majorly successful debut Justified, JT returned with the electro-R&B stomper SexyBack, a transatlantic #1 that serves as this album's highlight. All in all, this is one of the slickest, sexiest and most brilliantly produced R&B albums I've ever heard! 27 Jordin Sparks - Battlefield The incredible title track alone is enough to warrant a spot on this list *.* Let alone the rest of the album... Whilst her debut rarely strayed from mid-tempo, this album feature two huge uptempo tracks (both are also bracketed ), SOS (Let The Music Play) and 911 (Emergency), both of which are amazing to the least! There are typical Jordin R&B mid-tempos though too such as Walking On Snow and the epic Let It Rain. 26 The Saturdays - Chasing Lights Another girl group now, as the 2008 debut from The Saturdays becomes their first entry on this countdown. I remember buying this not long after Issues came out, having loved the girls since Up, and I hammered it  Although If This Is Love is their weakest single for me probably, the singles run from this was flawless, with Up being one of my all time faves and Work being an underrated pop banger. The title track is beyond gorgeous too, one of their best album tracks and could/should have easily been a single! 25 Olly Murs - In Case You Didn't Know This is actually the highest male album :o Oops at my tastes being so predominantly female. Although his debut was good, this is leap and bounds ahead, especially thanks to Anywhere Else and Heart Skips A Beat, the latter being one of my top summer songs <3 Not much of a musical departure from his debut, but it built on the familiar sound a bit and added some new elements, outselling his debut in the process and giving him two platinum singles in Heart Skips A Beat and Dance With Me Tonight. 24 Carrie Underwood - Play On Our first injection of country comes from American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. Much like her first two albums, Play On features some angry/sassy Carrie (Cowboy Casanova, Undo It) and some gorgeous and vulnerable ballads (Mama's Song, Temporary Home) in equal measure, and was a huge hit for her in the US, it also actually charted in the UK, becoming her first album to do so - albeit only at #93... Quitter and Unapologize are the two big non-single highlights here. 23 Taylor Swift - Fearless A country double whammy! After her international breakthrough Love Story, this went platinum in the UK and sold a huge 6 million copies in the US. The UK version is perfect as it pulls pretty much all the highlights except from her self titled debut (including her best song Should've Said No but excluding Picture To Burn sadly) together with amazing tracks like You're Not Sorry, Love Story and Breathe. So much lovely country pop on one disc <3 22 Paramore - Brand New Eyes Actual guitar rock music :o Still a female vocalist though so I'm straying too far :kink: Paramore are probably my fave band, Hayley's voice is insane! This is definitely their best album, as it has a good balance of very Paramore rocky tracks like Ignorance as well as beautiful mellow moments like The Only Exception and Misguided Ghosts, the latter being particularly amazing due to Hayley's stunning voice <3 21 Kylie Minogue - X *prepares for gif of Grant's flavour of the day showing distaste for Kylie not being higher* Just missing out on the top 20 is Kylie's 10th studio album, and easily her best. As well as the euphoric, incredible and flawless pinnacle of her career In Your Arms, X is home to the criminally overrhated comeback single 2 Hearts and Like A Drug, one of her finest album tracks. It also went platinum in the UK, showing post cancer Kylie was still a force to be reckoned with and she is seen as one of Australia's best exports for a reason.
August 5, 201410 yr Author 20 Alexandra Burke - Overcome Kicking off the top 20 is 2008 X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, who has recently descended to the throne as queen (of irrelevancy). Before it all went wrong with the terminal follow-up Heartbreak On Hold, Alexandra's absolute gem of a debut yielded three #1 singles and sold over a million copies. It cemented Alexandra as a potential huge star with a balance of uptempo club hits like Bad Boys and All Night Long, both hit singles that shook off the "Leona clone" labels, as well as amazing ballads like The Silence and Before The Rain that showcase her amazing vocal range. 19 Kate Bush - Hounds Of Love A much needed injection of 80s into this largely 00s/10s filed countdown is the eccentric and inimitable Kate Bush. One of Britain's best talents, she has many critically acclaimed albums to her name, but this is her best for me. It includes the stone cold classic single Running Up That Hill, as well two of my other favourite Kate singles, Cloudbusting and Hounds Of Love, plus the gorgeous Under Ice, one of my personal favourite Kate album tracks. 18 Jessica Mauboy - Get 'Em Girls Possibly Australia's biggest female artist in her home country, Jessica Mauboy has yet to make much impact WW (UK itunes top 200 smashes with I Believe and Sea Of Flags though *.*) but if it were up to me she'd be as big as Rihanna or Katy Perry. 2013's Beautiful, not eligible here, is actually possibly even better, but this is a flawless pop/R&B album that any fan of Rihanna would love. Much like the aforementioned, Jessica flawlessly hops between gorgeous ballads (What Happened To Us, Scariest Part) and fun uptempos (Maze, Saturday Night). Even the arguably hot mess lead single, the title track, which is often slated is high in my affection. 17 Miranda Lambert - Revolution More country next, as Miranda Lambert makes her first and only appearance with her third album. Released in 2009, the album is mother to two of Miranda's biggest hits, White Liar and The House That Built Me, also two of her best songs. As well as a flawless single run, the album has one of the best examples of a vengeful and angry Miranda anthem in Sin For A Sin. If you don't like country, you certainly won't even remotely like this, but if you do like country this is perfect! 16 Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted The pop/rock queen's second appearance, but certainly not her last... Also released in 2009, this was Kelly's fourth album and is home to her transatlantic #1 My Life Would Suck Without You, which is to date her sole UK #1, as well as two of her absolute best album tracks/songs in general, Cry and Don't Let Me Stop You. Just as I said about Stronger, this is classic Kelly done absolutely right, it's such a shame the amazing singles I Do Not Hook Up and Already Gone flopped :(
