I'm guessing the 90 second preview on iTunes is the later part of the song and the other minute or so that isn't in the preview is maybe the rapping part at the beginning of the song - if anyone is buying it then let us know! :kink:

Andrea's sounds good, he isn't shouting but the backing track seems really loud so it might get shouty live.

 

Ben's is dreary and boring total zzzzz

 

Fleur's needs a good performance with it because from 1.30 preview she sing 3 lines repeatedly and a lot of na na's, it certainly isn't a vocal performance (I love the original version though I would never say Macklemore and his songs are about the vocals).

I love Ben's preview and I'm not a fan of him at all, but then again I think 'Demons' is a fantastic song. I think Jeff Gutt did it on the X Factor USA final and did a brilliant performance of it, so I guess that's where Simon got the idea from. (Jeff did finish 2nd though, so hopefully that happens with Ben too)

Yes, if we call Rihanna, Katy, Beyonce, Justin etc A-list, Paloma isn't up to their fame is she?

 

I'd say in terms of British artists that Paloma is a top artist, platinum album successes and one of the biggest female artists of the past 5 years in this country, surely? I just don't think Paloma Faith as a name should come to mind in relation to what "Not a big artist, a big song" constitutes. That descripton sounds more "one hit wonder" or a really new artist.

Yep Andrea is Andrea he does have a good voice but is terrible at knowing how to use it and I'm bored of him now.

 

Haven't listened to Fleur's but sure she will bring a good performance.

Well her album is the 6th best selling of the year, top selling one by a female. I still think she's one of the biggest British females/current artists in general at the moment, even if others are more dismissive of her success levels. X Factor have had lesser acts than Paloma perform on this series and in previous live finals.

 

Yes, he never stipulated female, but I also wasn't the one who suggested Paloma matched the description in that tweet. Which she doesn't imo.

 

Obviously this is all a moot point given it's not going to be her anyway. I'm just surprised she was raised in a bit of a dismissive fashion as if she'd be some irrelevant flop choice, lol.
