YAY for Britney getting Top 2 I suppose, she should have won though.

Everytime is beautiful so good to see that finish on a high. I certainly appreciate it more now than at the time when it felt like a huge letdown from Toxic. Much as I like that I'm glad Bad Romance won over it. Such a well done pop smashaaaa

 

We Found Love would've made for a great winner too, it's my fave of the top 5 anyway. At least it won ultimate dance song so it's not like it's never won a buzzjack competition.

'We Found Love' should not be that high. It is a very good song but...no.

The most positive thing I can say is it's a lot better than the god awful 'Blackout' era, but then so is an audio recording of someone having painful constipation. Sry Britney fans (don't kill me Tyler). I like 'Toxic'!!!

A pity that 'Toxic' didn't triumph, but you can't deny that amazing 10 year run it had. It'll be sad to see that & 'Everytime' leave the contest next year. :(

 

Having said that, 'Bad Romance' is still a superb winner. Also fantastic to see 'We Found Love' in the Top 3 - my favourite song of the 2010s so far. :wub:

 

A very decent Top 10 overall, although I probably wouldn't have 'Back To Black' or 'With Every Heartbeat' so high up in an ideal world (I know the latter is a huge BuzzJack favourite, and I do like it, but I wouldn't even consider it one of the 10 best of 2007, let alone the decade). Come at me~

I am quite content with two Britney tracks in the top 5. This chart won't be the same without 2004's tracks! :(

At least we're guaranteed a bit of a shake-up at the top next year with so many 2004 tracks at the top of the list!

thanks to BrIz for hosting this ting again :wub: it's good to see some of the 2004 crew i.e. Toxic, Everytime and Mr Brightside getting great results to end their run (the latter really has done quite astonishingly!)

 

looks like it's gonna be a Bad Romance/We Found Love battle for the next year or so then (i'd like to see something like Rather Be as a contender at some point, though that's perhaps a bit unlikely)

 

Oh. I actually thought we may have something quite surprising winning, not that Britney would be that surprising, but different at least. Bad Romance is her best song, but it's got a lot worse with age, I'm not sure it's entirely worthy of being top song of the decade this time, probably even less so if it does it next year, but it's still listenable. Glad to see We Found Love still climbing, deserved highest single from her.

I wish 'Bad Romance' had fallen like her other songs had done, I don't think any of her stuff as aged well at all, can't listen to most of it now.

 

Overall kind of expected, always good to see 'With Every Heartbeat' and 'Mr Brightside' so high, nice to see Arctic Monkeys performing really well this year too.

 

(btw, not an issue and only being pedantic because Bre would probably pick up on it (:kink:) slight inaccuracies throughout commentary in that the final was always 50 (4th - 8th playoffs, 20 qualify from 50 song) until I took over from Thisispop in 2011)

Ah, the thought that that could be the case did cross my mind but I ignored it so I didn't have to delete commentary; I could always explain that away by adding something to the effect of 'in the final by the current competition's standards'. :kink:

 

At least Since U Been Gone still has its 100% record whatever then, that was the main stat I thought of when you said that but its lowest position has been 47th so it's fine.

You see I was actually wondering about that but I was just trusting Iz so blame him~

Really enjoyed following this over the last few months - thanks for all the effort Iz and Bré :D.

 

Don't quite get the hype with 'Bad Romance' :huh:. Hasn't aged particularly well for me. Adore 'Mr. Brightside', 'Back To Black' and, to a lesser extent, 'Everytime' and 'We Found Love' though so I'm relatively happy with the BJ faves.

I will miss 'Mr. Brightside' dominating this :( Shame it never managed top 2 but what it did manage was extremely impressive for a song of its nature.
