Isn't the fact it's only 26 on Amazon is good indication that it's doing very poorly on physicals? It's no surprising to see a new release do better on iTunes than in the overall chart.

Well Neon Jungle only managed to get to #64 on Amazon and were at number five in the Tuesday midweeks, plus only The Gaslight Anthem and Ed Sheeran are above them out of the potential number one threats. FKA and 1R are like 30 positions lower! :)

It doesn't really say anything to be honest :P My example is gonna annoy some people but here goes :D

Foxes peaked at #55 but went to #5 on the album chart whilst The Saturdays' last effor Living For The Weekend peaked at #22 there but only debuted at #10.

Pixie also peaked at around #56ish there but debuted at #15.

I'm pretty sure Living For The Weekend didn't get anywhere near that high did it???

True ! Although I would say The Saturdays is the kind of acts to do better on Amazon because, like Girls Aloud in the old days, they are a 100% UK based act with a bit of a fanbase overseas and Amazon is the easiest place to buy their album when you don't live in the UK (cheap prices and fast delivery).

That's where I buy all of my UK only releases :)

Yeah it did haha :D

I stopped being a stan of The Saturdays when they stopped caring about their releases however the new GH is a fantastic collection of pop songs which I thought was going to do really well for them, I think it's really worrying IF they are at #6 as all the pre-orders/multi buying would have occurred already and with sales so low [Less than 8k to go Top 5 last week] they should be flying ahead.

I wasn't expecting the Saturdays to do well with their GH collection. Although its packed with all of their singles from past few years, most of the fans will already have these and the new single is pretty awful way of launching a GH collection.

Aww bless Kingsland Road - Somebody needs to tell them they will be #157 when streaming is factored in

@ConnorKingsland: Number 38 in the 1st Mid week chart!! If we stay here till Sunday we've made it! Let's keep it there or higher!

I thought the greatest hits would do better.

I also thought it would be a Q4 release.

Maybe they'll get an X Factor spot and release another single to cash in.

They need to sack their PR manager -_-

Streaming is already factored in, the phrase you're looking for is 'by the end of the week'. :P

I think that will be a tall order - There is little media interest in them now so not sure they could command an XF performance with a potentially under performing lead single and GH album! If they are planning to split they should have done in Q4 with a whole 'farewell' tour and single

At the end of the day they arn't doing too badly.

A single which has had hardly any airplay is top 20 on iTunes and an album in the top 10.

They could be doing far worse ala Pixie Lott who's single as we all know completely flopped.

They are clever in terms of keeping costs low, I mean most of this era has been paid for by First Choice I reckon.

Lets face it the album contains already released tracks and two/three that were already produced (which may or may not have had a few tweaks here and there) I'm pretty sure they have sold a fair few Deluxe boxsets and tour versions too.

I mean they arn't doing too badly considering everyone brands them as complete flops, look at Neon Jungle they seemed to be doing well with their singles and hype etc..they limped into the top 10 too.

We haven't had any confirmed midweeks yet, though, just a rumour from an unknown source?
The fish ain't biting yet, maybe a little rain dance might help :magic:

Tell the fish, The Sats loons need to be put out of their misery.

... so the Saturdays aren't fighting over the #1 spot?

We have confirmation :D
