Another new Instant Grat today:

30. Train - Wonder What You're Doing For the Rest Of Your Life (feat. Marsha Ambrosius)

Surprised Maps is up to about 60% of Prayer In C! I thought they'd sell something like 120k and 35k respectively but it could be more like 100-110k and 55-60k!

I heard 'Maps' on R1 this morning - or more accurately I heard the first 5 seconds or so of 'Maps' and then turned it off. 'It Was Always You' was tolerable so I'm not just blind hating here, but 'Maps' is already unbearable a second in. As with 'Payphone' I wish Adam gave a little more warning before THAT VOICE kicks in.

It's pre order only... COULD BE HUGE!

9. Animals - Maroon 5 (Pre order thing)

I hope Train can manage some success for this era, their success is so hit and miss. I live in hope we get success once again in this era.

Me too. 'Angel In Blue Jeans' is currently on the Radio 2 playlist and is a really good song. They're a band who seem get success with lead singles from their albums very minimal radio airplay. The likes of Heart didn't jump on board with 'Hey Soul Sister' or 'Drive By' until they had both charted.

Yeah, 'Bang Bang' is available on Google as well actually. Maybe only iTunes got the memo.

Yes or maybe they decided to make it an album only track, who knows

Have you not read my posts? I like Maps but that's it, I think it's possibly their worst single ever. I can very much see how people can despise this. So your hate is ok. In this instance.

Oh I know that, I just also know you don't like me posting about Maroon 5.

I'm not going to place a lifetime ban on you. Everyone knows your opinions are wrong anyway.

Excuse me, our local wrong opinion spewer is Joseph, not me.

All too true. But since your general opinion of Maroon 5 matches his it automatically makes your opinion of them wrong :P

Amazing to think that Misery, which sounds like a huge smash, flatlined at No.30 only four years ago yet plodding album filler Maps is heading for the top three...

Moves Like Jagger is up there with Angels in the 'career-saving song' stakes!

I completely disagree.... I think Maps is one of their best and most catchy... One of my favourite songs of the year.

I fail to see how 'Misery' doesn't also fit in the 'plodding album filler' category. Unless 'unlistenable shite' is a mutually exclusive category to that.

The only difference is that people care about them to some degree now (and radio have started spamming them again).

Misery is a great track. Maroon 5 had been flushed by everyone by that point so it had minimal impact. Now they could fart for 3 minutes and go top 10.

It is amazing what Moves Like Jagger achieved for them.

In other news:

29. X - Chris Brown

An instant grat from his album but it's unclear if it's chart eligible or not, all 4 of the singles from the album are also available as instant grats so I suppose it depends on if this track is 'nominated' or not. (I believe the album was only put up for pre-order today and the singles are still available as, well, singles).
