'Still Want You' is currently at #129 on iTunes. Still climbing, but not as high as I was hoping it'd be by now (was expecting about #80 or so).

I don't get it, this really isn't THAT great to my ears?! The chorus reminds of a more 80s Haim song which is fab but the rest of it falls a bit flat in comparison :(

I totally get the Haim reference! I like him and The Killers, but I'm the same, I don't really get the buzz around this, standard output really from a guy who has produced some superb stuff?

 

 

Okay, I've just had Can't Deny My Love click with me and it's kind of the best thing ever. The power in it is just on another level. If it stays this way, I'm not going to declare it so just yet, it may possibly be the best thing Brandon has done since Spaceman, and that's some high praise there.

I really wasn't expecting to be interested in more Brandon Flowers solo material at all but 'Can't Deny My Love' is excellent!

'Still Want You' is one of my favourite Brandon tracks already. Such an infectious little number!

I wasn't sold at all after hearing 'Still Want You' but it's sounding so good now after a few more listens. A nice simple song to follow the more intricate 'Can't Deny My Love' (which is still slaying me on at least a daily basis :heart:).

LOVE. Almost up there with Can't Deny My Love tbh.

Literally every single he's released this era sounds like one of those annual, slightly alternative hits like We Are Young, Somebody That I Used To Know and Fireflies yet sadly they aren't catching on :(

Absolutely BRILLIANT. This album is shaping up to be nothing short of brilliant!

Blown away by 'Lonely Town'! Such an interesting structure and the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink 80s production is amazing. I had to check I wasn't accidentally playing another song over it towards the end :lol:. Can't wait for this album even more now!

Lonely Town is my favourite of the three so far but love them all.
