Yes the cheesy lyrics and especially the flat chorus. It's just extremely dull and blah. And I'm a fan of TLC but 'Unpretty' is to them what 'Ugly' is to the Sugababes, a big, cheesy mess. We're talking about two edgy girlbands (TLC even more than the 'Babes) releasing shitty songs that should've been recorded by Atomic Kitten.

 

:o take that back!!! I think if they had 'Ace Reject' being 4th single, would possibly have got top 15 low top 20, then having 'Follow Me Home' released next coming in the 30's might have made the album that little bit nearer to a 900k perhaps?

Do people prefer Mutya or Amelle's version of Red Dress? I have to say, I wasn't too fussed about the song when it was just an album track. I found that Amelle's version really lifted the song somehow, and I ended up loving it! COOOOOOOLER.

Amelle's version of 'Red Dress' is indeed superior, however I prefer Mutya's 'Gotta Be You' and 'Follow Me Home'. It would've been nice to have more Amelle versions of the album tracks from 'Taller In More Ways'.

Agreed! I like Mutya's 'Follow Me Home' because the song has meaning to her, given that it's about her daughter. Mutya said that she wasn't happy when it became a single and she hated the creepy video.
