Met the girls in Glasgow this afternoon! :D well, apart from Mollie who apparently left at 5am to go back to London this morning. They are travelling to Newcastle as we speak.

'Wildfire' was definitely flat live. Love the song and it's nice they performed it considering how many fans wanted them to do it and thought it would never happen, but yeah...

 

For me the highlight of the medley was definitely 'Get Ready, Get Set' and 'One Shot' together. It was amazing. :heart: Like literally two of their strongest songs ever put one after the other.

They had no more than 30 songs last time which included no more than nine singles - they have 19 singles I think? (Albums aside due to irrelevancy, again,) + two new recorded tracks for GH so covers (despite what other artists do) are sort of irrelevant when it comes to compiling a setlist. Pretty sure it was said before that covers in a greatest hits era would be a bit off but can't remember who... :thinking:

 

Eitherway I'm just grateful it wasn't a whole song slot because it'd have been a waste.

Looking at the medley it was predominantly a medley of songs they wrote so probably why it got snuck in :w00t: only ones in the medley not by the girls would be Missing You, 30 Days and One Shot, I think?

YES! Was so excited when they burst into One Shot, the whole medley was amazing for me (even Missing You :o). The only underwhelming part of the whole show was Gentleman, it seemed to go on forever.

Aww, I know why Mollie mimed her verse during the 'Not Giving Up' campaign, she seems to be struggling a bit to keep her voice on the higher end of her register. I mean, she doesn't sound bad, but she goes off-key more than once.

 

I'm glad to hear her on the chorus, though. I'm still pretty sure she's on the studio version as well, but no one believed me. :(

yeah didn't she carry on until 2 weeks before giving birth? and she done the AFU tour whilst heavily pregnant!

Yeah. I think there was a one song break for her (during 'Do What You Want With Me' IIRC). But she gave it so much still!

I never said she didn't? :unsure: I said she goes off-key because studio-wise her verse is pretty much high throughout the entire thing, but live, she goes from high to her middle-register because she can't keep up. She doesn't sound awful, as you said she sounds just fine, but it doesn't surprise me that she mimed it previously because it does seem to be a hard bit for her to sing.

 

What I don't get, in contrast, is why she's been miming 'Disco Love' since forever even during gigs when she's totally able to pull it off like she proved more than once with the acoustic performances of the song and now the tour.

 

That 'If This Is Love' performance is shockingly bad. The animation is ridiculous and they look just the same trying to splash that paint on that screen or what ever the visuals are supposed to look like...
