December 7, 201410 yr Yeah 'Lips Are Movin' will be pretty big regardless of if it's performed on XF or not (I don't think it will be, too early for that surely). It's doing really well in the USA so far and it's off to a good start on UK Spotify.
December 7, 201410 yr I wouldn't be surprised if Sam and Ed were just duet parents, they have both recently performed their current singles. Meghan I can see doing both Lips Are Movin' as well as AATB with Fleur. Then it'll be Olly and Demi with Up.
December 7, 201410 yr Fleur to reprise 'All About That Bass'from the first live show in a duet with Meghan? And then Meghan to perform 'Lips Are Movin' as well please!
December 7, 201410 yr I guess the duets will be Sam Smith & Andrea - Stay With Me Ed Sheeran & Ben - Thinking Out Loud/A Team Megan & Fleur - All About That Bass
December 7, 201410 yr If it's "Stay with Me", "Thinking Out Loud" and "All About That Bass" I might die - three of the most irritating songs of the year! That Ben and Fleur have already performed the latter two is quite annoying actually, I'd much rather see anything else from Sheeran's discography be performed - but it's not looking likely. "Up" looking to score Murs another T10 hit then, and I'm sure "Wrapped Up" will be in the T10 a little longer too!
December 7, 201410 yr So it should be between Olly, Ed & Sam Smith for the Xmas No1 album then. Also can't count out Take That I suppose. Ed should pull through with so many hits this year for people to buy the album as pressies. But Olly also has an Xmas special that week so he could be the outside bet. I'd imagine it being Xmas week Ed could break 200k? Hope Sam Smith breaks a million sales by the end of the year!
December 7, 201410 yr How was it going to perform quite badly? It's a sure-fire top 3 at least without X Factor She just screams one hit wonder (or one-big-hit-followed-by-an-underperforming-song-wonder) to me. I kind of felt 'All About That Bass' relied on its message (obviously it's very catchy too but I don't think it would have been as big if it wasn't for the message) and so the public wouldn't support 'Lips Are Moving' as much. Plus to me 'Lips Are Moving' sounds like a weaker version to 'All About That Bass' and this formula I don't think has worked well for other new artists.

I reckon the top 5 albums will consist of Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Olly Murs, Take That, One Direction, christmas week, but in which order I wouldn't know, most likely people will buy them as presents, I would also bang in George Ezra
December 7, 201410 yr One Direction will also be performing next week and I imagine they will perform "Night Changes"

That's what I thought too, although I also thought much the same about Katy Perry and I was wrong about her.

Each to their own, but it's doing so well on Spotify and pre-orders this early, and the fact it's blown up in Australia and the US really manifest that this is going to be her 'Hot N Cold'. She's being championed by LA Reid and her label have done an exceptional job with her promotion, not only worldwide but now in the UK - as well - getting an X Factor Final slot out of nowhere with only one hit to her name speaks for itself. Her team are really gunning for her and investing in her to be the next big type pop female artist

Her team are really gunning for her and investing in her to be the next big type pop female artist I suppose you're right that everything is pointing to her getting another big hit with this! I don't have anything substantial to back myself up with other than assumptions based on similar past situations. Another thing that made me doubtful though was that I didn't think people particularly liked Meghan. A lot have criticised her for "skinny shaming" in her lyrics and the whole "I tried to go anorexic" thing didn't go down a treat, and those who weren't phased by this I didn't think would have bothered supporting her further. But then the facts you've supplied seems to suggest that this isn't really a problem. Still, I'm doubtful she'll receive the same amount of success as she did with 'All About That Bass' and definitely not anything as iconic.
December 7, 201410 yr I don't think Meghan will be as big as Katy in the long run but it's definitely silly to write her off as a one hit wonder, 'Lips Are Movin' is already a guaranteed second hit and 'Title'/'Dear Future Husband' have made a bit of a splash as well despite not being proper singles. Sure 'All About That Bass' sold a bit on its gimmick but it was also a very wide appealing (Radio 1 / Radio 2 / Capital / Heart all played it) and GOOD pop song. Can definitely see her being big for a while.
December 7, 201410 yr Take That will most likely get Xmas #1 album I'm fairly certain Ed Sheeran was outselling them on every day of last week past Monday. With another bit of XF promo coming up there's no way Ed will miss the Xmas #1 album I think, he'll quite possibly shift over 200k for the week.

Ed's album has been out since Summer and Take That's album only came out on Monday and TT always get Xmas #1. Last year, One Direction were on course for Xmas #1 album but were beat by Robbie Williams at the last minute. Also, Nicki Minaj is meant to be releasing her album next Monday and her previous album managed to stop Labrinth from getting a #1 album. Besides, Olly Murs, 1D and Sam Smith are all performing on next weeks X Factor final so they will definitely be contenders for Xmas #1 album Edited December 7, 201410 yr by Hadji

I think she'll be lucky to scrape the Top 10 with this one.
