March 16Mar 16 The commercial fall off of Martin Garrix is a very interesting one. Of course when Animals blew up he had ALL the hallmarks of a classic one-hit wonder but he managed to stretch out a pretty successful run and even as late as 2019 was still a massive name.I know he's still regularly ranked high in DJ Mag's awards these days but commercially he's absolute tumbleweed now. Given Ed Sheeran's relative decline as well it leads to me think that if this was ever to get released in the future it would do absolutely nothing.
March 17Mar 17 Are we really looking at this finally emerging 11 years later? Would it even be in its original form, or significantly reworked? (I'm hoping for the former as I actually really liked it)
April 17Apr 17 Martin played a preview of this on an Instagram live. It does appear to be finally getting released soon!
Monday at 17:184 days how long is he gonna keep teasing this without a release date we’ve already waited 12 bloody years…
Monday at 17:334 days The way I assumed this was a brand new song then I saw this thread was made 12 years ago, wow at it seemingly being released now
Thursday at 09:041 day I'm guessing this will be a very different version to the one we first heard 12 years ago?Title change too!
14 hours ago14 hr I wish it went a bit harder like the original version sounded, this is a bit limp compared.
8 hours ago8 hr Oh this is lovely. It has a great sense of nostalgia in its drops so I'm glad they've kept some of that sound in considering when it should've been released.Capital have already playlisted this and Radio 2 gave it a spin on the breakfast show this morning.Garrix has not had a UK chart success yet this decade, Summer Days was his last Top 40 in 2019! I'm hoping this will bring him back in there.
