Pixie announced yesterday that she was going to sing her new single live on Sunday brunch. The next single from her 3rd studio album is 'Break Up Song'

Personally not the best choice for a third single. It should have been Raise Up or Champion. I can see radio 2 play listing the song but I don't really see why there is a third single if a pre-album release couldn't even go top 100

Presumably they're hoping that the Strictly boost will help her out, a la Sophie Ellis-Bextor

I can't see this doing very well. I think her music career is pretty much over now.

This will miss the top 100. 'Aint Got You' should have been the ballad choice. 'Champion' to be released in January with the video montage of her winning Strictly tbh.

The album has also been reduced in price since the performance but I don't think it will do much

Not a very good choice, surprised that there's another single after the last one failed to make the top 100, and do agree Champion would have been a much better choice, this will bomb for sure

I think even Champion would have bombed at this point, but this is growing on me having a listened a few times today, it's a a nice little song actually. Nothing more than a nice album track though, so not the best single choice but as I said I can't imagine any songs of the album doing that well anyway.

I do like the song, but Ocean, Heart Cry or Champion would have all been better choices.

 

With her doing Strictly, this might make some impact.

At least the album has managed to climb to #542 on iTunes, nothing major but I guess Strictly has had a little effect!

I doubt they'll give one of their contestants such an opportunity and preferential treatment as it would be unfair on the others surely. Saying that, I hope it does happen but I'll be very shocked.

I'd be thrilled if that happened but even Alesha Dixon didn't get to perform until the following season (if memory serves me right). I'd love the music to be played on the background or radio 2 to pick this up
