I wonder will they mirror the Archie's killer reveal (cannot believe that's almost 5 years ago :/) and have the live episode as the episode where we find out who killed Lucy? That would definitely see huge ratings I imagine, most people who watch casually or record it would probably make the effort to tune in and see. Can't wait, should be great I imagine

Edit: that's a bit of a stupid post, blame my tiredness. They could just film the killer reveal as one of the live segments  but I'm sure they'll want max hype and have the culmination of the week as the live episode and the murder reveal.

Great news for the 30th annivrrsary,it will b great,i enjoyed tonights episode im just filled with interest and anticipation for whats coming nxt,the show is ssooooo back on form right now.
It was 19m wasn't it? At least in the official ratings.

EDIT: IT was 16m, the 19m came from a newspaper.

The newspaper probably included BBC 3 repeats and the omnibus ratings! :P

I'd be surprised if Lucy's killer wasn't revealed on the full live episode tbh! And having her killer revealed at the "duff duff" would be the most obvious place.

I'm looking forward to what else is in store for this live week! Surely a big return or two? We had Carol Jackson last time (and Sonia, Billie and Robbie), but they'll be able to top that - Grant perhaps (or Michelle fgs!! :P)? Or maybe Nick's due to return on this week?

This is all sounding so exciting and promising. February is much nearer than it feels.
I can't believe the Archie reveal was nearly 5 years ago, that's mental! :o Very excited for this, the show is on form again right now as many have said also!

I love the idea of filming live segments throughout the week as this will no doubt add to the suspense before the reveal and Dominic has proven he can do surprises really well so I'm really excited for this.

I just hope the identity of the killer isnt an anti climax as EE is on top form at the moment and it can only get better! The day DTC leaves will be a very sad one, hopefully he's going to be around for a long time

Place your bets as to who will 'do a Scott Maslen' and fluff their lines

Place your bets as to how long into the episode Danny Dyer will swear!

I think the reveal could be slightly anti-climatic, but only because the media has been bigging it up. DTC said right from the beginning that it's not meant to leave viewers shocked and think "I'd never have guessed that" but more "that makes sense and it's sad".

I agree, I hope DTC can have a Diederick Santer-esque run as Executive Producer. He obviously knows what he's doing and will probably already have big plans for 2015.

More like, how long Danny Dyer will be featured in the episode:

*Killer is revealed, camera turns to Danny Dyer to remind audience that Eastenders managed to cast him, and that he was present in their biggest story line ever*

I just hope the killer reveal is done well and doesn't disappoint and that it does make sense but I have total faith in what Dominic's doing, you can tell he loved the show and it can only get better!

Just need to clear out the deadwood like Fatboy, Dexter and others and then all will be good :)

DTC has revealed on Digital Spy that

Nick is back before Christmas. I can already see the 'ello ma duff duff!

Here's the interview, it just basically says who will be prominent with big-ish storylines in the run up to Christmas and the anniversary.

After Sharon. It would be Nick Cotton as he is returning for his sixth stint. (Possibly more money)

Linda

will fall pregnant next week! :o

As for who's had the most returns, I think it's definitely out of Sharon or Nick. However when it comes to official exits, Sharon has had two (leaving in 1995 and and 2006) whereas I think Nick has had 5 official ones (1991, 1993, 1998, 2001, 2009).

Just checking Digital Spy now and there's an article saying the EE omnibus will taken off air come April 2015. However there's plans for a BBC One +1 and a 30 day catch up for BBC iPlayer.

If it is next week, it wont be Dean's then will it?

and I'd say in terms of returns

1. Sharron

2. Nick

3. Bianca

4. Janine

5. Sam

I wonder who will get killed off this Xmas, there is always a death in Eastenders around Xmas
