October 4, 201410 yr If it wasn't for X Factor, surely Cheryl would have died out like Tulisa has now??
October 4, 201410 yr It will be #1, on very slightly higher sales than CSL due to an X-Factor performance.
October 4, 201410 yr Think: #1 Want: Outside top 40. It is a dire song, and really shows how weak and empty her voice is. Nothing to add to this. She just sounds bored and there's no real hook to keep me interested. A shame really. :(
October 4, 201410 yr If this was sung by anyone else, I'd say top 20 at best, but yeah, this is a certain number 1.
October 4, 201410 yr I've plumped for Top 5. She has never had back-to-back #1's although her album is usually out before the second single is released, so this could be different. It's catchy in an annoying way and using the f-word in the chorus is just so blatantly seeking for some kind of shock factor. I would be a bit embarrassed to have this show up as the UK #1 for the rest of the world to see - sorry Chezza
October 4, 201410 yr Expect: #1 Want: #1 If it wasn't for X Factor, surely Cheryl would have died out like Tulisa has now?? 2/4 of her #1 singles were released without that show, so probably not.
October 5, 201410 yr Excellent opening line but not impressed by all the f***ing swearing in it. Reminds me of something... but then everything does these days. I do like it though.
October 5, 201410 yr Going to be #1 Want it to be #1 This song is much stronger than CSL and pretty addictive. This is why I love living in the UK and is what is right about the UK ;)
October 5, 201410 yr ^ I wouldn't describe this song as being a ballad?  Kind of surprised by the reception to this song... but maybe I shouldn't be, it's by Cheryl after all. I'd have thought that this song would be one of her most easily accessible songs to get on board with, it's very pop and with hints of Kylie to it. I can perhaps appreciate that the chorus is a bit abrasive, but it's catchy. The verses/bridge/middle 8 are all wonderfully done. Oh well. I want #1 and think it will be #1. :D Fingers crossed. X2 on all of it!
October 5, 201410 yr Won't Cheryl have some sort of record if this does go to Number 1? British Solo Female with most number 1's? That would be 5. I might be wrong.
October 5, 201410 yr Won't Cheryl have some sort of record if this does go to Number 1? British Solo Female with most number 1's? That would be 5. I might be wrong. That's correct! :D
October 5, 201410 yr I could have sworn I heard the instrumental of this in the background of the X Factor (or might have been Xtra Factor) last night. But as it was Judges Houses, it would have been filmed weeks ago, and the song has only just premiered, so what's that all about? Could the record company have paid them to edit it in in the last few days?
October 5, 201410 yr That's correct! :D It still surprises me how low that record is, when you compare it to someone like Madonna, Rihanna or even Kylie. Edited October 6, 201410 yr by Mango
October 6, 201410 yr I could have sworn I heard the instrumental of this in the background of the X Factor (or might have been Xtra Factor) last night. But as it was Judges Houses, it would have been filmed weeks ago, and the song has only just premiered, so what's that all about? Could the record company have paid them to edit it in in the last few days? Possibly but not necessarily. The song has existed since August 20th at least, that's when Cheryl first mentioned the title, so the label could have provided the instrumental a while before now, requesting it be included during Cheryl's first episode shown after the song premiered.

Yeah that's entirely possible I guess, it just took me by surprise when I heard it.
