Maybe they are deciding to let them show up on iTunes this year, like they do in Australia for example (and did in the US). I know they have previously shown in the chart before being removed (I remember a similar "mistake" a couple of series ago) but hopefully this year they are actually letting them chart.

It's to protect the "integrity" of the contest, ie. not totally spoil the results so there is some suspense come results time. Fair enough if you ask me.

I know Australia is different, but last year on their version someone got top 10 on itunes and was still eliminated that week (it was like week 5). The XF performances count towards the official chart too but I don't think I've seen one chart any higher than 10-20 ish (I know Dami Im and Samanrha Jade had one each that peaked at #11 or #12). Also just last week, a guy who's pretty much always the highest of everyone on itunes was bottom 2. I guess people might buy the song then think "I've already spent money on them so I won't vote" so high sellers might not always get the most votes.

The Voice UK let the songs chart. Leah McFall had the far more successful songs and was 2nd. Similarly, Christina Marie had the most successful singles and didn't win. Maybe that changed their mind this year?

Taylor Henderson made #2 with Girls Just Want To Have Fun last year ;) The Voice has done even better, Karise Eden's performance of Stay With Me Baby was a #1 hit in 2012.

Completely forgot about him, strange as he was the runner up :lol: I did always like him but found him forgettable at times!
