November 2, 201410 yr Author Charli XCX breaks the run of dropouts this week by enjoying a 3.55pm airing with Boom Clap, it's likely to be the first tune to have climbed to that now broadcastable position not to go any further although it has already enjoyed top 10 success. A previous entry from One Republic with Love Runs Out becomes the first to rebound to the top 40 this week since the #41 airings started re-entering at #38. Edited November 2, 201410 yr by zenon
November 2, 201410 yr A previous entry from One Republic with Love Runs Out becomes the first to rebound to the top 40 this week since the #41 airings started re-entering at #38. 'Say Something'?
November 2, 201410 yr Author 'Say Something'? I meant dropping down then climbing back up to the 40. Say Something climbed straight on.
November 9, 201410 yr Author Henry Krinkle's Stay becomes the first ever single to get a play as a #41 peak!
November 30, 201410 yr Author Magic! with Rude is not only the first entrant to made two broadcast appearances as the number 41 but also the first to be played in that position for successive weeks! Edited November 30, 201410 yr by zenon
December 14, 201410 yr Author Listen To The Man marks the first occasion a new entry has been played at number 41 before it's expected climb to the top 40.
December 14, 201410 yr Listen To The Man marks the first occasion a new entry has been played at number 41 before it's expected climb to the top 40. It would be in the top 40 if radio 1 didn't refuse to play the song on Wednesday's chart update
December 14, 201410 yr It would be in the top 40 if radio 1 didn't refuse to play the song on Wednesday's chart update I thought they did play it on Wednesday? Sure I remember hearing it, maybe not though...

December 15, 201410 yr It would have got top 40 if he was playlisted by Capital In all fairness, he's hardly the type of music they like to play.
December 15, 201410 yr Capital never play rock, indie or alternative for some reason Cause it's not their target audience :P Similar to how Radio 6 Music won't be playing One Direction. Capital may play the hits but that doesn't mean every single chart hit, it means what's a hit and appeals to their target audience. They'll have done their market research to know what their target audience wants.
December 24, 201410 yr Author All of Me ends it's mammoth top 40 run by earning the last few minutes of it's preceding show. It's looking likely that Listen to the Man is set to become the second #41 peak in this position's broadcasting era.
January 18, 201510 yr Author Although he is this week's 41, poor Mr Probz with Waves is still denied a place on the list due to a catastrophic error which meant Prayer in C was played as that position instead!
January 18, 201510 yr 18/1/2015 - No play due to wrong record being played I think you should highlight what was number 41 and what was played instead :)
January 18, 201510 yr Author 18/1/2015 - No play due to wrong record being played I think you should highlight what was number 41 and what was played instead :) My rules state that the #41 must have actually been played as stated in the second paragraph in the opening post.
