Katy Perry will perform at this year's Super Bowl halftime show, sources have confirmed with Billboard.

 

Perry's performance has been speculated since August after the National Football League had reportedly shortlisted her along with Coldplay and Rihanna, who saw the use of her song "Run This Town" with Jay-Z axed in a segment during the wake of the Ray Rice scandal.

Don't they have to pay the SUperbowl a percentage of their profits and pay for the actual performance itself and pay them to perform though?

They wanted to change the rules this time, having artist pay to perform at the Superbowl.

Major for her! I don't see why she "needs to improve her vocals" though, when she already is capable. Yeah she's very on/off, but about 90% of the time it's on. She'll put on a massive show though, that's for sure! EXCITED!

I think you're watching the right performances. She's quite bad in most performances, bar her tour performances.

She needs more live vocals like this...

Katy can be quite hit and miss live, she was soooo on point when I saw her live but her Unconditionally X Factor performance for example... :lol:

Rumour has it that she's trying to get Pharrell on board for the half-time show to come out and sing with her, I'd take this with a pinch of salt because it is only a rumour but he is the man of the moment so I think it could be good for her :cheer:

That would certainly be interesting :o I'm no huge Pharrell fan but he's definitely very talented and I'd be interested to see them collaborate!
