Really impressive show. I don't think I've ever heard her sound that good, particularly on 'I Kissed A Girl' and 'Firework'! She definitely did herself justice. Great setlist too - even the inclusion of 'California Gurls' worked well. :o

I cried at Firework. As I very nearly did when seeing her live, no song ever strikes the chord that that song does.

 

That song always makes me want to cry, too. I almost did.

Missy Elliott was the highlight for me :lol: Katy was very impressive too despite the obvious song choices. I was expecting Last Friday Night since that has a Missy Elliott connection but no big loss there.

Why "Hot N Cold" or "E.T." weren't performed, I will never know.

I'm not so shocked about Hot N Cold, but I really wish she'd have done E.T, could've so worked with Missy aswell :(

Why she didnt do TGIF I dunno. I mean Missy was there.

Loved it :wub: Perfect choices, perhaps they were obvious but that's not a big deal seeing as it worked so well :D Missy's section did seem a bit random but was fun anyway.

ET would have been fab, but she really did stick to her most iconic singles.

Her vocals were recorded last week apparently. She *was* sounding suspiciously flawless.

yeah the superbowl rules state that singers need to mime a certain amount of vocals. But she still recorded them so she certainly is capable of serving great vocals. I highly doubt they'd edit them that much for a show like this

Yeah I do think Katy has a good voice. I just think she really struggles when competing with high production.

I loved the show! Great song choices, great staging, great outfits (minus the flame dress but all was forgiven with her Missy swag '49' jacket) - everything was amazing! I would've preferred less Missy E (and if they insisted on so much, her and Katy could've done "1, 2 Step" instead of "Lose Control" or even "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"). I wish I had the shark outfit!

Not watched the whole thing yet due to bad internet but omg at the way she enters on that huge THING :wub: and I liked the Teenage Dream section where all the beachballs and sharks came out, glad she put on an absolute show *-*

Her vocals were on point, pre-recorded or not. They are the best she's sounded during any performance.

 

It was solid, better than Beyonce's but not quite as good as Madonna's.
