'Thinking Out Loud' reaching #1 for the first time on its 19th week top 40 (which is looking extremely likely now) is really an incredible achievement, to put it into some perspective only 48 of the decade to date's 161 #1s have managed 19+ weeks top 40 in *total*. This could be another challenger for the top 40 longevity record.

Wow, looks like the boost has been pretty significant for Ed.

After topping iTunes back in June during Ed's daily instant grat trolling, Thinking Out Loud is finally back to #1. :P

I do hope we get a 5 weeker at #1 really soon now that Meghan didn't quite manage it. TOY for me would be a deserving number 1. Such a lovely song :wub:

Brilliant! I hope it holds up and isn't overtaken by Meghan again because it's really deserving of its slow blossom to the top.

A part of me wants to see a 5 weeker at #1, but at the same time I wouldn't mind Ed Sheeran at #1 for that astounding chart run, either way I'm quite happy, in the long run Ed Sheeran's track is so much better than All About The Bass.

And like Bre stated, its performance is amazing considering it has already sold so much. Great longevity. When all is said and done it will be Ed's signature song.

Very pleased for Ed! Admittedly I'm not a big fan of his but this song totally deserves #1. My favourite song of his since 'Lego House'!

I've grown to tolerate Thinking Out Loud and it'd be far preferable to Meghan's track which I'm sick of so I'd be glad for that. Depending on how much of a lead he has, I think he could beat Cheryl to number 1 next week, she'll obviously get the XF boost, but it's not really doing very well on pre-orders so far. Nonetheless, I'm sure Thinking... will be in the top 10 right up to the New Year either way.

I should hate Ed Sheeran given my music taste but I adore him, probably my favourite male singer :wub: TOL is probably my third fave on x behind Nina and Sing, it's amazing <3 It sounds like a lost soul classic from the 70s crossed with a typical Ed song.
