It's strange though because Sing, which a snippet was played of in his video intro, has stalled while Don't is still increasing.

I'm sure they played a snippet of 'Don't' too though.

Is Open Wide eligible to enter in the Official Charts this week ?

I don't think it will be allowed to chart due to it being the second instant grat but if they combine the sales with c.u.b.a (which I doubt) then it could be allowed to chart!

The 2 previous 'Motion' singles have just been made instant grats:

9. Open Wide (feat. Big Sean) - Calvin Harris

10. Under Control (feat. Hurts) - Calvin Harris & Alesso

20. Summer - Calvin Harris

'Blame' at #13 is still the single version and that hasn't been made an instant grat. All very odd. (And 'Outside' is also still not available for some reason as well).

I'm guessing this would make 'Under Control' and 'Summer' chart-ineligible, however does this only take into consideration sales? With 'Summer' being just outside of the Top 40 on the streaming chart, could it chart solely on these streams?

Nothing will be ineligible - as per Taylor Swift and Welcome to New York/Shake It Off charting simultaneously last week, surely? The instant grat sales for Under Control and Summer won't count but any single purchases from the album will count as they can now be separated.
Christina Marie from The Voice has just released her single "I'm Coming Home To You"

I don't suppose it'll chart but it's amazingggg

Will anyone from The Voice UK ever do well? They have singers with talent, the show has a decent audience, but only one act has had a top 20 hit after their time on the show - Tyler James, who already had a record deal previously before The Voice UK.

Ah yeah, forgot about the Taylor Swift situation! Unless this was just a mistake, I mean there hasn't been any confirmation from OCC or Music Week. But hopefully not, will be nice if they could finally be bothered to separate the sales.

Tyler James didn't have a top 20 *after* his time on The Voice, he had it several years before! Becky Hill is the only contestant to date to have had a top 20 hit after The Voice, aside from Leah McFall with I Will Survive.

Oh yeah; in my head I thought Single Tear got to 18, but it was 28! That just makes it even worse...and Becky Hill's hit was as a featured artist. I don't understand why not one of them has gone on to have a decent chart career, or at least one hit between them.

Really hoping 'Out Of The Woods' reaches top 40 officially this week, I highly doubt it will, but it really deserves to. Taylor SLAYAGE in the top 100 though *.*

40. Ella Henderson - Ghost

41. Ella Henderson - Glow

Poor 'Glow'.

* hits, she featured on Wilkinson's "Afterglow" and Oliver Helden's "Gecko (Overdrive)". I'd say "Powerless" by Rudimental also qualifies as a hit too, albeit not a T40 one.

The Voice being on BBC is a good decision for them, yes, but not for the acts performing on it - they don't receive any promotion. Would it kill them to playlist some of their singles at least, that way the DJ can plug the show when they play the tracks (as they do with the X Factor!)

Not sure if this has been mentioned but according to What's On TV the official Children In Need single isn't God Only Knows (although proceeds from that go to CIN), but a cover of Avicii's Wake Me Up by a Gareth Malone-headed choir including Jo Brand, Mel Giedroyc, Linda Robson, Larry Lamb, Fabrice Muamba, John Craven, Craig Revel Horwood, Nitin Ganatra, Margaret Alphonsi and Alison Steadman
lawd :drama: that's probably gonna flop even harder than God Only Knows if true. Why couldn't they go down the 'get a current popular artist to do a song' approach again? It really worked last year with Ellie Goulding selling lots of her CIN single
They should have got S Club 7 to do it again frankly...perfect opportunity!

It's because they get zero support. From those who are commercial artists, Capital haven't playlisted anything and Radio 1 only playlisted Tyler James' post-album single, And now Becky Hill. Even then Becky's is on INMWT. There's complaints when big artists get snubbed so just think what it's like for those just starting off their career!

Jeez... those instant grat tracks are everywhere :drama: what a mess. I really don't know what's what.
