November 4, 201411 yr It doesn't sound too wrong, that means he's sold like 0.75 of Cheryl on Sunday and Monday, including streaming. Sales are weirdly low though. In comparaison, same update for CSL release week : 1 Cheryl Cole feat. Tinie Tempah - Crazy Stupid Love (66.3k) * 2 MAGIC! - Rude (44.7k) *
November 4, 201411 yr That figure seems oddly low for Cheryl, wondering if there's any data missing for her. Ed's only 6k behind and she pushed him right down to 0.6 on Kworb, combined  "I Don't Care" climbed to #1 (didn't get to #1 until around mid-sunday), plus Ed's streaming is a lot stronger so I guess that's why he's only 6k behind? Also Ed has a second version at #49 and I'm not sure if people have been including that version when doing the combined updates of Cheryl vs Ed (It's another 7% to add to Ed's total). Also, I think you guys are overlooking Amazon. Cheryl is #4 + #43 compared to Ed at #2 + #25, so Ed is outselling her there to help make up for Cheryl's lead on iTunes. I believe CSL was #1 on amazon MP3. Edited November 4, 201411 yr by Envoirment
November 4, 201411 yr This sounds about right to me. The Tuesday mids are known for having some errors in. I won't write her off until I see tomorrow's figures ~ Id be shocked if Cheryl is only on 24k in the first mids there must be data missing she had 2 entries in the top 5 on itunes and over 50% lead alot of the time  I thought it would have been on as high as 50k by the first mids(heavily upfront heavy sales) and sell 105k or something. If she is ONLY on 24k she wont be No1 by Sunday!
November 4, 201411 yr Amazon has a muuuuch lower proportion of sales than iTunes, it's not gonna make a huge difference. It does seem very low - Ed's streaming is being overestimated a bit here, it's gonna be huge but not enough to make up for Cheryl selling not too far off double of him on iTunes at one point. Fairly sure one version is missing from the total, a la The Vamps a few weeks ago only being #34 or so on Tuesday with Oh Cecilia, as the single version was missed out.
November 4, 201411 yr Rixton did 28.7k on Tuesday update thought Edited November 4, 201411 yr by Markbr

November 4, 201411 yr Ed sold 15k in streams last week with streaming accounting for another record 56%! Oh I know he's HUGE on streaming but I don't think it's gonna make up this much of Cheryl's lead at this stage, that's all :P
November 4, 201411 yr Author I saw 35k/25k on twitter but I guess that was wrong. 24k seems very low for Cheryl. I bet either one of the versions hasn't been added yet and we'll get better mids tomorrow. Its definitely not one of my typos  got the genuine article in front of me

Amazon MP3 had a 22% market share in 2013 and it's been growing year on year since around 2009, so it's significant enough to make a decent impact on the charts, especially in a week where it looks to be quite close. The sales on Amazon MP3 could mean the difference between Cheryl getting #1 or #2.
November 4, 201411 yr Oh I know he's HUGE on streaming but I don't think it's gonna make up this much of Cheryl's lead at this stage, that's all :P Itll be a great chart battle at any rate IF the 24k turns out to be Cheryls total Tues mids figure. I was expecting her to be double that tbf. The point i was trying to make was that streaming is becoming bigger each week it seems.
November 4, 201411 yr Its definitely not one of my typos  got the genuine article in front of me Thanks for the mids Martin - do you have positions for Hozier & Animals by Maroon 5?
November 4, 201411 yr Surely there is missing data for Cheryl's sales? .... My guess is that they haven't added the explicit version yet, which could be an extra 8 - 12k to her total. Its definitely not one of my typos  got the genuine article in front of me Not questioning you at all. I just know your source occasionally has missing data on the Tuesday. :) Edited November 4, 201411 yr by Joe.
November 4, 201411 yr If the second version is missing we could add an extra 50% sales to Cheryl, that would put her around 36k and would sound about right. Damn, tomorrow midweeks are gonna be so important. :(
November 4, 201411 yr Surely there is missing data for Cheryl's sales? .... Pretty certain there is, we'll see for definite tomorrow anyway!
