Yay another new entry to the top 40. Hopefully a decent clearout this week :D

Poor Veronicas but I'd rather they fell out now as opposed to later in the week like I was expecting.

So annoyingly unfair.

Considering as of 0.4 hours ago One Direction had an almost 2.5x lead on Ed Sheeran it's amazing that Gareth got to #1 so quickly!

Well, looks like Gareth has #1 in the bag after all if he's managed to overturn the lead of that 1D instant grat already. Quite how that TV show convinced ANYONE to buy the song is beyond me (my parents were watching it for some reason and it was just painful and repetitive, I somehow doubt the recorded version is much better). Children In Need I guess.

 

Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' is at #28 already - was this performed at the EMAs? Looking set to be another big hit for her anyway, the lack of streaming won't help it though of course.

Just a heads up, I think 1D are releasing several more instant grats this week. This was really quite a bad week to release 'You Ruin Me'.

The chart run for this Gareth Malone song if it gets to #1 will probably be amongst the worst ever.

 

Shame You Ruin Me wasn't released last week when 24k was all that was needed for #10. The threshold will be way higher this week.

I'd imagine it'll just have a similar run to 'Wherever You Are' / 'Sing' minus its first week. Which is to say, not far off the worst ever. Will probably be behind last year's CIN single within a couple of months maximum :lol:

Well done Gareth Malone, it's for a good cause and we may be set for a lot of charity records weeks at No1 before 2015.

 

I'm also up for Ed not having a 1-2-1 chart run to satisfy my OCD chart run annoyance. One Rep & Pharrells runs did my head in lol!

Not to forget if it does get there then it will be amongst the worst #1's of the year. What a boring horrible version of the song :mellow:

Yeah she's climbing just from the hype of the music video release, should hopefully climb into the top 10 as radio airplay continues to increase as well! :D

They way they are able to seperate sales from instant grants now,does this mean that One Direction instant grats that are released this week and go to number 1 everywhere won't count(I know never counted in UK) to the chart?,because several instant grants that they released last year charted officially in the top 5 of a lot of countries last year?,will this be the same case with these songs?

However I'm unsure it will get to number one on Sunday, Ed's streams will push this off the top spot unless it sells consistently but giving its been 16/18 on Sunday/Monday and with the 1D instant grats if they continue through the week :drama:

I'd be surprised if Gareth isn't #1 with a very large lead at this rate, considering he is now outselling Ed at least 2.5 to 1 if not significantly more, and is due another boost later in the week from CIN.
