Will this mean that streaming will be included in the iTunes chart alongside the existing sales?

That's anyone's guess really, although it may do what OCC did and have multi charts or just one single chart

Do you think the % of sales for a stream will change then?

Do you mean something other than the OCC's rule of 100 streams = sale?

Itunes has instant grats by 1d etc not on spotify, wonder if these type of grats would be streaming before the album came out

The ratio is due to be re-examined sometime next year as part of a planned review by the music industry into how incorporating streaming data has worked out but I'll be surprised if the ratio changes in the forseeable future. It seems like every country is adopting the 100 streams = 1 download sale for chart purposes. What might change first is the maximum amount of streams per user account that are allowable for chart purposes. It's possible that that figure has been set too low. Perhaps it could be set at 100 per week rather than 10 per day (maximum 70 per week). This would mean that one user could contribute one "sale" of any one track per week rather than a maximum of 0.7 sales as at present.
Yeah Dobbo was right, but I don't get why no no Spotify leads to less sales? An I missing something?

Yes you miss my point but excuse me, I don't want to explain it again, anyway it's not proven. :)

I don't know what other opinions are about this but I think streams are to high so if anything they should change it to something like 150 or even 200 = 1 sale

I assume you mean your posts about streaming album grata on Spotify?

The last time I looked I thought it was a mid topic, talk about going off tandem, please take it elsewhere.

Yeh thats what i meant. If the % of streams each week continues to rise (up to 56% these past few weeks) they might have to have a rethink. Esp if downloads sales plummet when apple introduce streaming to Itunes!

Only have singles so far... they were online, have been taken off :o

Excuse me, not meant to be rude, but I have a feeling that you try to responde to every post in this thread?

Tom looking safe for top 10 then if he's up a place since Wednesday, fantastic :D

He should get Friday and Saturday boosts, too.

Blank space is top 3 on iTunes and the 10 in the last 2 days but still 21?shes now on Spotify. It won't go anywhere in the UK without it... Such a shame.

I'm not so sure about Friday, what with tonight being Children In Need so I imagine ITV etc. will have a smaller audience than normal for Corrie and the like, but tomorrow a boost should definitely happen, fantastic to see :D Pretty much guaranteed a new highest peaker! (obviously Another Love should've been a #1 but that's another story)

It's the usual Friday mess that Music Week make of posting the midweek charts. They seem to struggle to publish them in the Charts section without making a mess of the layout. We'll just have to wait until someone at MW posts them in a news article instead.

I see they are trying to fix it. I really don't know how they never get Friday right. Wednesdays always seems fine, its taken them 3 years+ trying to fix the Friday mess. Excuse my rant, but when I pay good money for it, I expect first class service, a yearly subscription is not that cheap.

I don't think we going to get it in the News section, seems the person that does it, has not posted an article all day yet.

Hopefully we get other info this afternoon from other sources.

Has Am I Wrong or Happy sneaked back in? Thanks.
