November 14, 201411 yr 17.8k! Ugh, I'll just hope for 24k by Sunday Edited November 14, 201411 yr by BlazingLovatic
November 14, 201411 yr Looks like none of the 1D instant grats will hold onto the top 40 for Sunday, but probably at least 2 will be there on sales. Frankly I think I'd rather have old songs than one-week 1D album tracks though so no great loss there. 'Yours' is sitting immediately outside the top 40 today, if the song holds in the iTunes top 20 for the remainder of the week I could see it just sneaking in. 'Blank Space' could potentially contend for a top 10 entry this week if it continues gaining at its current pace! Really surprised to see Ed overtaking (well, remaining ahead of) Sam in the albums even with Sam's XF sales boost - both will have very strong sales for this stage in their chart runs though of course. Both could pass 1m by the end of the year (Ed is pretty much guaranteed to while Sam is a little further off but 390k in 7 weeks over the Q4 sales spike is just about achievable I think).
November 14, 201411 yr It would be great to get 2 million selling albums this year after last year's abyssmal sales.
November 14, 201411 yr Excuse me, not meant to be rude, but I have a feeling that you try to responde to every post in this thread? Umm lol? I answer any post I have an opinion or answer to, or something I want to question about the post. BLANK SPACE FOR TOP 15!
November 14, 201411 yr So are all pre album release instant grats now chart eligible? This has been answered lots :kink: All instant grats are eligible but ONLY from the individual downloads. Album pre-orders don't count towards any, not even the first ^_^
November 14, 201411 yr Have the Foo Fighters a chance of also passing 100,000 this week? Pink Floyd should easily make a minimum total of 150,000 for this week. and Ed Sheeran and Sam Smoith are both looking to an a further 40,000 sales to their already impressive totals. Pink Flyod opening sales are now the target for Take That to beat when they release their new album. Album top 5 is very strong from a sales aspect. Take That will be a fascinating one to follow in the coming weeks. They obv won't reach the stellar 550k first week sales of 2011 but surely on name alone they should break 100k or more. I'm disappointed they aren't releasing next week or the 24th though to really be able to build up some decent sales in 2014. Here are some of the factors I think could affect the albums performance - 1) It's Take That one of the biggest names in British pop 2) It's TT minus Robbie which undoubtedly helped increase sales last time and also as a threesome 3) These Days was debuted in October and has a long wait until release which singles wise could help it chart top 5 but could lead to a short chart life 4) The single wasn't given an overly warm response by their standard. 5) Lack of radio 1 support = less sales due to lack of new fans/less general airplay 6) I haven't saw them much yet but no doubt they will be on Tv flat out over Xmas. November 14, 201411 yr Any particular reason why Robbie is uncredited in Avicii's The Days and he isn't taking part in Take That's These Days? Spooky
November 14, 201411 yr Any particular reason why Robbie is uncredited in Avicii's The Days and he isn't taking part in Take That's These Days? Spooky  1. Avicii never credits his vocalists for whatever reason (even as a big fan I don't agree with him not giving vocalists an official credit) 2. Robbie left Take That for their current era (so did some other member who I don't know the name of)
November 14, 201411 yr 1. Avicii never credits his vocalists for whatever reason (even as a big fan I don't agree with him not giving vocalists an official credit) 2. Robbie left Take That for their current era (so did some other member who I don't know the name of) Exactly the same with me, as I get quite annoyed when fab/famous artists are not credited for their valued contribution  Any reason why Rob left Take That? Is there even a version of the track with him in? And why are the titles so similar?
November 14, 201411 yr 1. Avicii never credits his vocalists for whatever reason (even as a big fan I don't agree with him not giving vocalists an official credit) It might be because Flo Rida didn't credit him on 'Good Feeling' and Leona initially didn't credit him on her track (which ended up in court). Probably wants complete control of his songs.
November 14, 201411 yr It might be because Flo Rida didn't credit him on 'Good Feeling' and Leona initially didn't credit him on her track (which ended up in court). Probably wants complete control of his songs. Which makes it all the more bizarre. I love Avicii but he's a hypocrite.
November 14, 201411 yr Which makes it all the more bizarre. I love Avicii but he's a hypocrite. I think not crediting an artist in the title of the song is different from Syco actually stealing one of his instrumental pieces for one of their artist's songs. (of course that was no fault of Leona's). I doubt not having an official credit detracts from any of the revenue the featured vocalist would receive anyway.
November 14, 201411 yr Well to be fair Avicii was suing over his song being used without giving *any* credit (including songwriting / production). It does make his latter failure to credit featured singers seem a bit hypocritical but I don't think they're directly comparable.
November 14, 201411 yr It might be because Flo Rida didn't credit him on 'Good Feeling' and Leona initially didn't credit him on her track (which ended up in court). Probably wants complete control of his songs. But in GF wasn't both artists sampling someone (I can't remember her name) so in effect Flo doesn't sample Avicii and neither vice versa. I totally agree with the Collide though. See first Avicii sampled a track to make a new one out of it and called it Penguins and ultimately made a vocal including track titled Fade Into Darkness but Collide does not sample what Avicii sampled originally, it samples Penguin/FID. He should still credit esp. popular artists on his songs, as it has been proven to be an incentive to buy the songs! He is quite young for a DJ though ;) (but there's nothing wrong with that! :D) Edited November 14, 201411 yr by SPINNING ADAM
