I see some Bean impact here! *.*

I still remember when I came across it and gave it a listen, and by the time I got to the chorus I was like "this song is Joseph all over" I'm glad you entered with it and did well!

followed by my least favourite 5SOS track

your taste really is rather questionable.

Songs of the Year

51 The Rocket Summer - Walls - 37-5-10-11-15-25-27-32-X (8 weeks)

52 Hunter Hayes - I Want Crazy - 1-5-7-13-18-28-38-40-35-X (9 weeks)

53 Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud - 40-X-38-30-27-40-28-30-39-X-35-29-26-14-10-16-... (14+ non-consecutive weeks)

54 Lily Allen - Our Time - 1-2-3-8-16-18-22-10-12-21-29-37-X (12 weeks)

55 The Vamps - Lovestruck - 39-28-35-X-38-X (4 non-consecutive weeks)

This section opens with the highest non-single of the countdown, Lovestruck by The Vamps. Definitely love at first listen for me, was my 2nd favourite album track at the time but then Oh Cecilia got promoted to a single :heehee: Lily Allen's Our Time is her lowest single in the countdown out of the three she released this year, and the third lowest #1 of the year. I do really enjoy it and it being so low just says how good this year has been for me I think. Ed Sheeran's highest entry is at #53, in the form of the gorgeous Thinking Out Loud, which continued his pattern of going 7-10-7-10 with singles, from Give Me Love onwards :heehee: (I See Fire excluded) Hunter Hayes' I Want Crazy is the fourth #1 to drop out, having had a pretty rubbish chart run but I do LOVE the track. It got to #1 the week after his album track More Than I Should made it, making it the first time an artist ever knocked themselves off #1 in my chart. The track gets more love from me than that run suggests, hence its relatively high spot here! It only dropped so far on week 2 because three new entries overtook plus a high climber, all still to come in this countdown. Finally, The Rocket Summer, the music project of Bryce Avary, makes it to #51 with single from 2010, Walls. I didn't know this song existed until I heard it in an America's Got Talent soundbed and googled the lyrics cause I liked it  The song did so well and is so high in my affections because it arrived at a very appropriate time, related to something in the family, so it was very special to me for a couple of weeks.

RECOMMENDATION

 you troll x

It's my favourite of his now I think, was always a huge smash in waiting!

52 Hunter Hayes - I Want Crazy - 1-5-7-13-18-28-38-40-35-X (9 weeks)

Ahhhhhh!! My favorite section here by far!! Your discovery of Walls was also a brilliant re-discovery for me, and I'm very pleased you got to hear So Much Love and liked it as well! I Want Crazy is still Hunter's best for me and Thinking Out Loud is incredible--goes without saying at this point.

Thanks Jordan! :D Walls is a stunning track, I keep meaning to check out the album Walls is on as I have it downloaded, new target is to hear that before 2015 :heehee: I Want Crazy isn't my fave Hunter track (one in particular beats it) but it's definitely up there, such a fantastic track and I imagine it would be AMAZING live.

Our Time is a huge album highlight for me and I think it's amazing, one of the best things she's ever done for me perhaps. I loved the video concept of all the different characters too, I think it was executed v well.

TOL really is stunning, I'm happy he's having so much success at the moment because all three singles and the album as a package are all excellent. Hoping he can maybe even beat the sales of '+' in the long run.

You & I is probably my favourite 1D single ever now overtaking Kiss You. Such a well pulled-off ballad and I loved the video too, a very good concept once again.

Finally, yay at Comeback. Really hoping she does make it in 2015 and we do get an album because I'm sure it'd be fabulous. She has a lovely tone to her voice and it sounds so nice when she belts it out too.

Artists of the Year

2 Hunter Hayes

Country star Hunter Hayes makes it straight into my top 2 artists of the year. I discovered him when watching the AMAs on a music channel on what I think was New Year's Day this year, I liked the snippet of the song they played (I Want Crazy) and found him very cute too :heehee: I downloaded his album and was listening non-stop for DAYS. He achieved three #1 singles within five weeks on my chart and a fourth later on, and now has one of the longest runners of my chart this year in the form of Tattoo. Second album Storyline improved on the debut, being almost flawless from start to finish, really enjoyable album and I'm so glad I discovered him. Thanks to Jordan for the chats about him too *.*

#1 coming just before the top 2 :D

Late here - but glad Dark Horse made it. One of my faves from Katy - will be a lot higher on my countdown.

I think Dark Horse is kinda split over 2013 and 2014 for me really, hence its lower position here  It's a fantastic track and its chart run for me does not do it justice.

You're welcome *.* Amazing to have a fellow fan, I still have a few more country faves who could use a second fan on Buzzjack :kink:

Literally just saw a commercial on TV for Hunter's tour :o He's performing here on Thursday but I'm not planning to go. (U)

Booty too low :( so ICONIC

Awwww! Well at least you are able to get tickets if you want, the only gig Hunter's done here is one that you had to WIN tickets for :)

Songs of the Year

46 Michael Schulte - Rock and Scissors - 1-3-5-8-13-18-26-31-36-X (9 weeks)

47 Pitbull - Timber (feat. Ke$ha) - 16-11-13-10-17-29-40-X-35-X-11-10-12-22-33-X (13 non-consecutive weeks)

48 Carrie Underwood - Something in the Water - 3-4-8-14-20-24-30-... (7+ weeks)

49 Bars and Melody - Hopeful - 3-6-10-14-22-28-37-X (7 weeks)

50 John Legend - All Of Me - 22-6-10-15-19-13-15-20-25-32-X (10 weeks)

Into the top 50 now and things really start hotting up. We start things off with the SAVIOUR of the UK TOP 40 *.* Yes, Sir John Legend is at #50 with his beautiful ballad All of Me, I do not know how ANYONE can hate this, it's so sweet and I'm not even slightly bored of it yet :o BGT 3rd placers Bars and Melody are at #49 with their song Hopeful, a bit of a guilty pleasure but a lovely track and very catchy. Carrie Underwood's comeback single was engaged in the hottest battle for #1 this year in my chart, and sadly lost out to Cheryl and One Direction, both also new entries that week. It's now out of the top 40 when the other two haven't left the top 10 and 15 respectively. Oops. Great track anyway as always from Carrie! Mr Worldwide makes his last appearance now  with Queen$ha also slaying though *.* Timber is a fantastic track and so much fun, instant love from me. Finally, former #1 Michael Schulte makes it to #46 here. My fellow ginger and former BJSC entrant has had two #1s in my chart to date, quite surprisingly cause I don't really stan for him as much as that would make out, but this track is really great and is the best thing on his second album The Arising.

RECOMMENDATION

Michael Schulte - Rock and Scissors

Timber is great and Kesha slays on it. Hopeful is quite good.

But screech and the worst song of the whole year in 50 :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

But it's not Idina? :kink: (sorry :heehee:)
