December 7, 201410 yr Author Yay! Can't wait if it's anything like Live Lounge was this week he is gonna smash it! I'm warming more and more to this song with repeated listens of the album and it's also a favourite with my dad (he heard it on Radio 2 at work and told me he liked 'his new song with some girl' so I assumed he meant this song). It's also top 50 on iTunes already so...I'm (quietly) feeling a good vibe about this single. We should be getting the video soon according to Olly's Tweets yesterday as well!
December 7, 201410 yr To me this is the best single he's ever released - although maybe that's my Demi stan talking
December 7, 201410 yr Heard this the only day - not a great song again. Very mediocre like wrapped up really. Edited December 7, 201410 yr by slowdown73
December 8, 201410 yr Really adore this. This album has really delivered for me, and I'm so happy with it/this song being the next single. It seems like the perfect, radio friendly, big top 10 smash. Could this go on to become his biggest seller? I hope so. Their voices are so wonderful together. Demi Slayvato coming to slay your faves again! *.* Really must get round to seeing him live at some point!
December 8, 201410 yr Well this definitely could end up my favourite Olly Song :o Glad theyre on XF next week together
December 8, 201410 yr Author bVMYdeKVFBo Video premieres on Thursday! They didn't have time to show clip of it on This Morning today but you can see it on his Instagram!
December 10, 201410 yr Author EP release confirmed for 5th January, pre-order is now live on iTunes! https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/up-ep/id941830989 TRACKLIST 1. Up (feat. Demi Lovato - Live Acoustic Session) 2. Up (Wideboys Club Mix) 3. Up (Max Sanna & Pitron Club Mix) 4. Dear Darlin' (Live Performance from ITV Special) I see the album download is already at #40 on iTunes so that bodes well for this single :D Edited December 10, 201410 yr by ThePensmith
December 11, 201410 yr That's a simple but good video actually. Really excited for their performance Saturday, hope it can boost it into the top 5 at least. (Preferrably top 3 3 because that's XMAS week)
December 11, 201410 yr The chorus of this song drags on for so long and doesn't end up really going anywhere. More plateauing than going "up".
December 11, 201410 yr Author #20 on iTunes now...up 20 places in 24 hours hardly constitutes plateauing to me!
December 11, 201410 yr #20 on iTunes now...up 20 places in 24 hours hardly constitutes plateauing to me! It's quite clear from my post I was talking about the CHORUS of the song. -_- Edited December 12, 201410 yr by mr_aly
December 12, 201410 yr Given this four listens today and it's certainly a grower. The chorus takes a bit of getting used to but Demi works so well on it. Would probably rank it as his 3rd or 4th best single, behind "Troublemaker", "Heart Skips a Beat" & "Right Place Right Time".
December 12, 201410 yr Author Got to say I am not a fan of the new video (I didn't see it till I came home yesterday). I can see where they were trying to go with it but it doesn't fit what the song's about or Olly at all, and Demi is Captain Cringe Times with her acting in this. Thankfully the song is still amazing and the music speaks for itself - can see this being a big hit indeed!
December 12, 201410 yr Author Well X Factor should be a nice little push into the top 10 for next week, and the ITV special (even though there's no performance of it on there). I imagine he'll do more promo when the digital EP comes out on January 5th. I seem to remember that was the promo tactic with 'Army of Two' on the last album - big performance three weeks ahead of release on 'Dancing on Ice', then lots of bits of promo when it was fully released.
