Posted November 26, 201410 yr    No fancy artwork here, just a countdown of my Top 15 Albums and Top 50 Singles of 2014! Soooooooo much happened this year - Lots of Trips, I was sick a few times, Lost my job.. ect.. with that being said it was a pretty tame year for music listening for me, so I'm only doing a Top 15/50 rather than anything larger. Rules:Most of this is from 2014 with exception of a few songs.Compilation albums are allowed.Greatest Hits albums are allowed.Songs will have Chart Runs, Albums will not.We will start with Albums first.DATS PRETTY MUCH IT. I'll have a brief summary of each song/album as well. Thxbye. Edited December 2, 201410 yr by Aaron.

I've also never forced myself to listen to another Script song other than "Hall of Fame". I guess you can say they made somewhat of a fan of me with this album, it was pretty stellar I must admit! Although "No Good In Goodbye" is a pretty okay song, I couldn't be bothered to add it to my regular rotation of music based on length alone. I'd listen to another Script album again. Good job, boys! Edited November 26, 201410 yr by Aaron.
November 26, 201410 yr Totally agree with you that this album turned me into a fan! Was never that keen on them before but there's a few really brilliant songs on there! Surprised you don't like 'No Good in Goodbye' though! :o I'd say that's one of my favourites. 'Superheroes' >>>> though.
November 26, 201410 yr Not really a huge fan of The Script but I can appreciate Superheroes these days - POWAH anthem
November 26, 201410 yr Author #14: LEA MICHELE - Louder http://s12.postimg.org/6ttym95q5/rsz_1lea_michele_louder_official_album_cover.png Favorite Tracks: Cannonball On My Way Burn With You You're Mine Thousand Needles Louder Cue the Rain Don't Let Go Gone Tonight Charted Songs: Lea Michele - Cannonball [CR: 03-02-01-05-20-21-29-32-37-37-32-36-39 - 13 Weeks] Lea Michele - Cue The Rain [CR: 21-22-07-27-34-34 - 6 Weeks] Lea Michele - On My Way [CR: 20-33-19-12-13-12-22-24-29 - 10 Weeks] I CAME IN LIKE A CANNONBALL. Nope? Wrong Song? This is the first and probably last album from Glee Star Lea Michele. The good news was this album surpassed my expectations 110%. I expected something soulful and boring and Lea actually delivered a slice of pop heaven. Seriously so many great pop songs on here. The bad news? It flopped big time and with Glee being cancelled I'm not sure what's next for Lea. Edited December 2, 201410 yr by Aaron.

SHAKURR. Can't recall if Can't Remember To Forget You never charted, perhaps I didn't save it or maybe it was released in 2013? Eek. Either way, this is actually my only Shakira related album in my library. She's had some corkers over the years but I've never been invested in her too much to actually listen to an entire album, this however was pretty awesome. Clearly my favorite was the one with the simplest lyrics. LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA. Spent 8 weeks in my top 10 alone. Wow. Looking back now, this is actually the only song I really remember. I should probably whip this album out again and give it another listen. Edited November 27, 201410 yr by Aaron.
November 27, 201410 yr 'Shakira' is a good album but a let down compared to her previous work. Looking forward to the rest! You have exquisite taste.
November 27, 201410 yr I really enjoyed Shakira, especially can't remember to forget you Louder is amazing, the standout being Battlefield for me
November 27, 201410 yr Author 'Shakira' is a good album but a let down compared to her previous work. Looking forward to the rest! You have exquisite taste. Thank you
November 27, 201410 yr 'Louder', yay  Such a good album! Can't say I was in love with 'Shakira.' at any point though. Only a couple of highlights. :(
November 27, 201410 yr Author #12: ELLA HENDERSON - Chapter One http://s21.postimg.org/dkquaxmsn/rsz_ella_henderson_chapter_one_album_artwork.jpg Favorite Tracks: Ghost Glow Pieces The First Time Give Your Heart Away Charted Songs: Ella Henderson - Ghost [CR: 01-02-02-02-05-15-15-34-32-30-28-22-17-15 - 14 Weeks] Ella Henderson - Glow [CR: 04-03-02-09-09-18 - 6 Weeks] (Still On Chart) Ella Henderson - Pieces [CR: 11-11-20 - 3 Weeks] (Still On Chart) Ella Henderson - Yours [CR: 12 - 1 Week] (Still On Chart) Admittedly you can already tell compared to SHAKURRA I didn't have as many "favorites" on this album. Overall I actually thought her album, although gleaming with quality was a bit boring. What saved it for me was a few key tracks which catapulted this into a top 15 album for me. Ghost alone may have put it at #15, but Glow and Pieces were a few other standouts for me. I almost gave up on this album a few times deleting it from my library but I trekked on and gave it a full listen. It's good, but I think this album would probably be the end of my Ella fandom, not sure if I'll follow her career once this is done and dusted.
November 27, 201410 yr Glad to see 'Give Your Heart Away' in your favourites there, definitely a highlight of mine from the album!
November 29, 201410 yr Author #11: KYLIE MINOGUE - Kiss Me Once http://s12.postimg.org/65fjz9rtp/rsz_cd_kylie_minogue_kiss_me_once_special_editio.jpg Favorite Tracks: Into The Blue Million Miles I Was Gonna Cancel Sexy Love Sexercize Les Sex Kiss Me Once Charted Songs: Kylie Minogue - Sexersize [CR: 23-13-39 - 3 Weeks] Kylie Minogue - Into The Blue [CR: 03-03-02-01-03-04-04-14-24-19-26-25 - 12 Weeks] Kylie Minogue - Les Sex [CR: 39-10-14-11-37 - 4 Weeks] Kylie Minogue - I Was Going To Cancel [CR: 40-11-10-09-13-14-17 - 7 Weeks] Oh Dear. Kylie. What Happened?! Trolling the interwebs, my understanding is that you either LOVE this album or HATE it. I fell somewhere in the middle, perhaps a little bit more on the 'Dislike' side. I immediately gravitated towards "Into The Blue" as the lead single. I found it fresh and fun initially it spent 7 weeks in the Top 4 alone. However, as the album was released - I couldn't help but think all the album tracks including the single "I Was Going To Cancel" had appeal at first.. but really didn't have any shelf life. After a while the album to me felt tired and really a chore to listen to. Even my favorite Album Track - Les Sex got boring after a while. Poor Kylie. Plz keep trying.
November 30, 201410 yr Author #10: SIA - 1000 Forms Of Fear http://s23.postimg.org/g60jskcuj/rsz_sia_1000_forms_of_fear_official_album_cove.png Favorite Tracks: Chandalaheeeerrrrrrr Big Girls Cry Hostage Free The Animal Fire Meet Gasoline Charted Songs: Sia - Hostage [CR: 25-09-06-08-25-24-23-22 - 8 Weeks] Sia - Big Girls Cry [CR: 17-01-04-19-34-32 - 6 Weeks] Sia - Fire Meet Gasoline [CR: 37-21-36-35-35-33 - 5 Weeks] Sia - Chandelier [CR: 18-22-02-05-03-03-12-10-19-37-40-34 - 12 Weeks] We now venture into my Top 10 Albums of the year. Getting cut first is Sia's album 1000 Forms of Fear. I'll admit I wasn't much of a Sia fan before this album. A few of her collabs were amaze but I didn't know much about her before this. I downloaded this album on a whim and I was very impressed. I didn't love every song, I find some of her tracks very hit and miss, but Hostage and Fire Meet Gasoline were heaven to my ears. Of course, we have Chandelier as well, what a treat that was. Although it doesn't look like any of the songs did well in my chart apart from Chandelier based on length, this was a very competitive time in my chart. 5SOS and Sanna just released their albums and even some Melodifestivalen contestants were releasing follow up singles and albums. I adored this album and would definitely listen to future Sia work. Except that track with Eminem. Don't much care for that.

Which is how many albums Maroon 5 has released. It is also how many times Adam Levine has brought me to orgasm with the picture below! * I wouldn't say I'm the hugest Maroon 5 fan, the one thing I will admit however is that they produce some solid work. Everything has it's place, well polished. This album was really well done, especially some of the album tracks. I'll admit, it started a little rocky, I didn't much care for "Maps" as you can see it didn't spend a lot of time outside the top 20 and "It Was Always You" which many people found to be their best song only spent 1 week in my Top 10. Everything Maroon 5 ever does will have a shelf life. There is only so much of Adam Levine's whiny voice I can take. But when it's good, it's good. * http://data2.whicdn.com/images/15445942/thumb.jpg Edited December 1, 201410 yr by Aaron.
December 1, 201410 yr :hi: Aaron :cheer: EOY SEASON YAAAAAAY. You put Sia & Maroon 5 as #10 btw. oops :kink: I love all those albums except the script. Don't like them full stop :(
December 1, 201410 yr I adore chapter one, hopefully getting it for Christmas. The 3 singles are all 10/10 (well ghost is 11/10) And for about the fifth time today, chandelier is amazing and I am so glad the album did well and is liked by so many people

We now move onto Album #8 and it's the first appearance for Foxes AKA Louisa Rose Allen. Another story of "WHOS THIS BITCH" coming out of no where and producing a solid album. Many people started becoming fans of Foxes when she released her EP back in 2012, or when she released "Home" "White Coats" and "Youth". I however didn't become a committed fan until she slayed with "Let Go For Tonight". This track alone led me to download her album where I fell in love with a few key tracks. "Beauty Queen" was such an amazing track, it's like something you've heard before and fallen in love with, but was never able to find. Not much has happened with Foxes after she released her single Glorious and had it bomb. Still, such a solid album with killer tracks. I wish she would just release a "Let Go For Tonight/Beauty Queen" esq album and light up my ears.
