Who did the Biffy Clyro cover? Who was the tough guy? I canet remember them!

Matt Cardle covered Biffy Clyro, no idea who you mean by the "tough guy"

I hope the X Factor winner is somebody decent...

So do I! <_<

I put X Factor winner, in the hope that Fleur wins.

If she doesn't win, then I'd rather BA30

I looked him up - James Arthur. He'd been on the streets and everything, hadn't he?

Can't see how anything other the XF winner has a prayer of a chance really. This Peace song will have to have a hell of a backing and hype and even then I'm not too sure.

Nothing else will come close I think, is that Iron Maiden song new material or yet another futile 'stop the X Factor' campaign?

The latter...

The latter...

I can't actually believe these still exist, do they (or anyone) not realise how much of a parody of themselves they're becoming?

I think the 'download this old song to get Christmas #1' thing is just going to be a permanent fixture as long as the XF is still running. None of them will ever match the RATM campaign of course but it's not like the others have been entirely futile, they didn't get near #1 sure but The Trashmen went top 3 and AC/DC top 5. If they bring some interesting songs into the top 40 then I'm all for them. Having Altern 8 in the top 40 was particularly *.*

I expect it will be the XF winner again, Band Aid 30 should have good sales again for Xmas week but not good enough to compete with the first week of the winner's single.

Oh I love the songs/chart coincidences that they choose too (it was a particular joy seeing AC/DC finally getting a top 10 hit a few years back!), it's just a parody how the people that start the campaign actually think they have a shot...

Leona Lewis "One More Sleep" will be discounted to 10p on amazon and itunes and get that #1 with an original xmas song. :cheer:

Ok back to reality, I think it'll be the X-factor winner as I think they physicals for Band Aid 30 will sell out in the weeks running up to xmas so their sales week shouldn't be particularly big (although I'm expecting it to be over 100k)
