Definitely agree with you about Jessie. The 1st album was amazing (especially PT + NP) but she's gone so downhill since then

And no let it go :( :(

I loved Domino too, btw like in my commentary SCREEEEECH of Me is still to come. A while yet to be honest :heehee:

181 / Claire Bowen - Black Roses / Peak #08 - 3 Weeks

182 / Taylor Swift - Out Of the Woods / Peak #09 - 3 Weeks

183 / Molly Smitten-Downes/ Molly - Lock Up Your Daughter / Peak #10 - 3 Weeks

184 / Route 94 Ft Jess Glynne - My Love / Peak #13 - 3 Weeks

185 / The Pretty Reckless - Heaven Knows / Peak #14 - 3 Weeks

186 / Ed Sheeran - One / Peak #15 - 3 Weeks

187 / Bastille - Pompeii / Peak 16 - 3 Weeks // EOY 2013 PK, #07

188 / John Newman - Losing Sleep / Peak #17 (in 2014) - 3 Weeks

189 / Jennifer Lopez/J-Lo - First Love / Peak #18 - 3 Weeks

190 / Gwen Stefani - Baby Don't Lie / Peak #19 - 3 Weeks

At 190 is the comeback single from No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani with her yet to be released in the UK, 'Baby Don't Lie' whilst J-Lo is banging on about her 'First Love' at 189. John Newman is 'Losing Sleep' at 188, the 3rd single to be taken from his debut album, Tribute. 'Pompeii' was in my top 10 songs of last year and seem to have plummeted this year by a mere 180 places, YIKES but then it did belong in 2013 so does it matter really. The Bastille lads hold the record for most streamed artist/group on Spotify. Ed Sheeran's first of probably countless entries in my top 200 comes in the form of 'One' at 186 from his mega selling album X. I still can't my head around the fact that Taylor Momsen off of The Pretty Reckless is the same girl that played the sweet little girl, Cindy Lou in The Grinch all those years ago, blimey what a transformation... anyway her rock group are at 185 with return single 'Heaven Knows'.

The first 2014 UK #1 shows up at 184 in the form of Route 94 and guest feature Jess Glynne who is just the queen on dance tracks/collabs this year. Admittedly I did like this for about a week and a bit until I ended up finding it really dull. Meh. Molly's first of two entries inside the top 200 at 183 comes courtesy of 'Lock Up Your Daughter', this catchy song provided Molly with a 2nd top 10 hit for me this year. Her Eurovision entry for our country is still to come :)

No. 182 is the first instant grat from Taylor Swift who for the first time made an all round pop album breaking away from her country niche. 'Out Of the Woods' is certainly different for a Taylor track but I'm not a big fan of it sadly :( I think JSG has something to do with 181 as Claire Bowen off some Nashville programme is rounding off this section with the quite stunning 'Black Roses'.

Leave Me Alone? I don't think I've seen a song called that by Newman?

Epic flop... Booty is not in my chart :o I never charted it despite it being a hot mess of a video, strangely Shakira & Rihanna are to come though ^_^

Thanks Martin.

Aha well then I'd agree with you completely. This is his 2nd best though!

Out Of The Woods really has to be a single in the future, the production is fantastic and obviously Taylor delivers vocals wise. I really can't have it being the single that never was..

One is the perfect opener to 'x' as well. Really stunning and his falsetto in it is really lovely too. Would love it to be a single far down the line but I guess it'll always just be that promo track. Hoping Afire Love, Runaway and Bloodstream are all singles this era.

171 / Maroon 5 - Maps / Peak #24 - 4 Weeks

172 / Celine Deon - Loved Me Back to Life / Peak 01 in 2013, #25 in 2014 - 4 Weeks

173 / Neon Jungle - Louder / Peak #26 - 4 Weeks

174 / John Martin - Anywhere For You / Peak #26 - 4 Weeks

175 / Cash Cash Ft Bebe Rexha - Take Me Home / Peak #26 - 4 Weeks

176 / One Direction - You & I / Peak #27 - 4 Weeks

177 / American Authors - Believer / Peak #27 - 4 Weeks

178 / The Vamps Ft Shawn Mendes - Oh Cecelia (Breaking My Heart) / Peak #29 - 4 Weeks

179 / Foxes - Holding Onto Heaven / Peak #31 - 4 Weeks

180 / Foxes - Let Go For Tonight / Peak #32 - 4 Weeks

Kicking off this round is a doublewhammy from Southhampton born singer, Foxes who did decently may I add with 'Youth' last year getting top 100 I think. It was probably 'Let Go For Tonight' that inspired fellow buzzjacker Neil to sign up and call himself the almost identical Let Go For 2nite. I'm actually liking his newer username much more :kink: 'Holding Onto Heaven' follows suit at 179. 2nd appearance for Joseph's faves, The Vamps. Their cover of the Simon and Garf***el classic 'Cecelia' enters at 178 featuring the rather pointless addition of guest vocals from Shawn Mendes. American Authors have been criticized for ripping off Imagine Dragons apparently, well if you've heard 'Best Day Of My Life' then that's pretty much a given but this follow up single was actually quite decent and deserved to do well if not better in the charts.. shame. I'm not fussed that their one hit wonders though. They aren't that special really. Oh and sitting at 176 is another of fellow Buzzjacker Josephs loonage over bands :kink: Wand Erection with 'You & I' at 176. Pretty decent song but the boys must've been really frosty shooting that video. Jeez.

175 is club banger 'Take Me Home' from a surefire one hit wonder smash group, Cash Cash featuring delightful vocals from newcomer BeBe Rexha. John Martin's ' Anywhere For You is 174, you know it? the forgotten top 10 that dissapeared almost as quick as Union J's latest single :kink: Neon Jungle's only top 200 hit this year, they are a relatively new girl group who racked up 3 top 10 hits in the UK Charts but only one had decent sized longevity and guess what... it wasn't this. Although this is their best song along with that one I'm referring to, 'Braveheart' which sadly missed the top 200 and has to make do with top 300. Always next year ladies :) Celine 'La' Dion is 172 with 'Loved Me Back To Life', a bit of a surprising but fabulous comeback single. It topped my chart in November last year and made my top 60 of the year last year too. Finally we saw the return of everyone loves to hate his voice Adam Levine and his 3 other homies who make up Maroon 5, it's hard to believe they've been going for 10 years. They've made some great songs and there are for me some gems on this new album but 'Maps' sadly isn't one of those and has possibly performed the worst of any M5 track in my Smash Hit Chart and probably EOY history, failing to go top 20 but thankfully they have two better songs imo still to come.

Loved Me Back To Life, wasn't expecting to like a 2014 Celine song as much as that but it was a really strong comeback. Never listened to the album but I'm glad it was successful commercially anyway.

HOH is lovely too, my favourite Foxes song. Is at has a mystical atmosphere for me and the whole listening experience all just feels so magical. Definitely the best but Youth and LGFT are good pop tunes too.

Great sections Rob

173 / Neon Jungle - Louder / Peak #26 - 4 Weeks

179 / Foxes - Holding Onto Heaven / Peak #31 - 4 Weeks Definitely my favourite by her and I am loving the album

180 / Foxes - Let Go For Tonight / Peak #32 - 4 Weeks

181 / Claire Bowen - Black Roses / Peak #08 - 3 Weeks Ooh I thought JSG and me were the only ones who charted this and were fans of it :o So big YES to see this here, such a beautiful track

182 / Taylor Swift - Out Of the Woods / Peak #09 - 3 Weeks Definitely one of the highlights, this has to be a single

183 / Molly Smitten-Downes/ Molly - Lock Up Your Daughter / Peak #10 - 3 Weeks

187 / Bastille - Pompeii / Peak 16 - 3 Weeks // EOY 2013 PK, #07

189 / Jennifer Lopez/J-Lo - First Love / Peak #18 - 3 Weeks

190 / Gwen Stefani - Baby Don't Lie / Peak #19 - 3 Weeks

I loved this Rob  Wait a minute, Southampton = Foxes + Northampton = Northampton Clown :manson: #consipracy

Both smashing the top 200 here Rob tho ^_^ Slay!!

Yay it's started! Been looking forward to this :D

I had no idea Taylor Momsen played Cindy Lou in the Grinch movie :o 'Heaven Knows' is great and I'm pleased to see it here, along with the good American Authors song (even if you're not a huge fan) and 'Holding Onto Heaven'!

Pleased Hozier made the top 200 Rob and some great inclusions so far!

Enjoying your commentary too, very thoughtful and detailed analysis.

161 / James Blunt - When I Find Love Again / Peak #19 - 4 Weeks

162 / Pixie Lott - Caravan of Love / Peak #20 - 4 Weeks

163 / Rihanna - What Now / Peak #20 - 4 Weeks

164 / Twin Atlantic - Heart & Soul / Peak #20 - 4 Weeks

165 / Alicia Keys - It's On Again / Peak #20 - 4 Weeks

166 / Avicii - Addicted To You / Peak #21 - 4 Weeks

167 / Chasing Grace - Tonight / Peak #22 - 4 Weeks

168 / The Killers - Just Another Girl / Peak #22 - 4 Weeks

169 / Nickelback - The Edge Of a Revolution / Peak #23 - 4 Weeks

170 / Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball / Peak #23 - 4 Weeks

Starting off this area at 170 is last years #5 in my EOY, 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus who seems to have gone silent after the licking of sledgehammer :puke: Nickelback return to my countdown (not a buzzjack favourite at all but I don't care haha). 'Edge Of a Revolution' is the debut single from the bands 8th studio album, No Fixed Address. Jonjo's favourite ever group are next... The Killers :P. 'Just Another Girl' a country twist from their usual sound which is 168. Chasing Grace are a new threesome who have got huge support from R1 earlier in the year and even supported Emeli Sande & Naughty Boy on their tours this and last year. 'Tonight' is the 1st of 3 entries by them dropping out at 167. Avicii who was king of my EOY chart last year enters at 166 with 'Addicted To You' and Alicia Keys provided the soundtrack to the new Spiderman movie that was released back in April, 'It's On Again' is 165. Scottish indie rockers Twin Atlantic scored their first top 20 hit in both my chart and the official chart with 'Heart and Soul' and have yet to get another one.. oops. Here's hoping they'll score another hit down the road somewhere. Rihanna's only solo feature in my countdown this year I think comes from 'What Now' at 163 which was featured on some advert in Jan to help give it some extra lease of life. Pixie's take on the The Housemartins hit 'Caravan of Love' is 162. Her highest song this year with a few others missing the top 200. Blunty is quite the funnyman to some on Twitter, he sure knows how shut down his haters that's for sure and his lead track from the deluxe version of Moon Landing, lands at 161.
