Ben or Fleur to win.

 

Ben has AMAZING voice and he seems like really nice person, while Fleur has whole package and UK definitely needs someone who can dance, more than who can sing (although Fleur can sing, but I love more when she's killing the stage)

What does Fleur have that Alexandra doesn't have bar a bigger forehead and look where her career is?

People need to stop going on about a voice like it is the only thing that matters. Give me a Alexandra or Fleur any day over people like Andrea or Sam Bailey.

Only matt is still releasing music and had a top 15 album and single last year. It is not amazing but Alexandra has already seemingly given up on releasing music.

I agree Fleur is not as good as Alexandra, but she has a real stage presence and some of the most popular singers today arent the best vocallists but they have great material and stage presence and just are a star when they come on stage. Just look at Katy Perry and Rihanna for an example. To me, personally, they are the kind of people we need winning. You can have a big voice and be interesting but people like Andrea and Sam just stand there and sing big notes, its all very one note and uninteresting. I would not be able to survive at a concert of theirs, they just do not have the same sort of star quality or presence.

I wouldn't say Alexandra or Matt are more remembered, Matt won the series with the highest viewing figures and when promoting is still regularly on TV with performances and interviews. Outside of X factor this year I cant remember the last time I saw Alex on TV.

 

I'd say both are remembered as x factor winners who failed outside the show.

She had some early success and then became a joke.

I'm sorry but it's absolutely ridiculous to say she can't sing. That you don't like her voice, yes, but seriously? I mean as a rule I cannot stand Ben's voice but I think it's preposterous for me to say he can't sing.

 

Like everyone has said about 100 times, we all recognise that she doesn't have the voice of Whitney Houston but that isn't what is needed. Why should we have yet another boring winner with little potential in Ben or Andrea? I'll gladly eat my words if either are successful, but I don't see what Ben for example has got that Matt Cardle didn't have.

 

 

I said she was ok and they are covering her vocals not that she couldn't sing at all and I stand by that She is weak. Ben could do very well given the right material. He will probably make the final having one week the whole show that suited what he does best. He has never been allowed to sing like he did at auditions, which for me were his best performances. I get this is the show and you have to be versatile, so I'm not complaining. Having little potential is subjective too. Ben, could break the mould of male winners imo. He has a likability that other male winners didn't have and he is sellable to women from 15-60, the amount of female attention he gets is ridiculous and he has voice to back it up as well. . Not the same as crazy James Arthur and unlikable Matt Cardle, dull Leon (how did he even make live shows!) Joe had a great voice but wasn't exciting enough and Shayne, well they just messed that up, he did have appeal. I'm not saying Fleur cannot do well, I;m sure if Cowell gets behind her, puts her with the right producers, guests on her singles etc she will. I just think people are getting carried away. For me she is Alexandra light.

Personally I'm more in awe of Fleur than I ever was with Alexandra (during her time on the show). Although that might be because I was only ever thinking "Diana or no one to win XF" tbf. :lol: Fleur has a bigger stage presence when performing and I find her more likable/less annoying than Alexandra! Which is what she does differently to her for me, I guess. Both are brilliant performers, but Fleur executes her performances a lot more effortlessly for me.

Fleur will struggle to find a success outside XF. Even Rita Ora as Ri-wannabe is better than her.

I did love Alex during the show (I used all my phone credit voting for her at the time :lol:), but I think I'll be happier for Fleur to win than I was her, probably because Fleur seemed like a total no hoper before the lives started (I myself had her pegged at week 2 fodder at best) but she soon crept up and now she's a favourite. Same with Little Mix, I love the journey they went on. This series has been subpar talent wise but I like when there isn't an outright obvious winner much more than years like 2013 where Sam was so obviously going to win from like week 1.

Just watched Fleur's performance of Uptown Funk. THAT performance might've just won her the competition already!

 

I don't even care for Lauren anymore, it's all about FLEUR

Don't get me wrong, but for me her personality is as bland and lifeless as Lauren's.

Fleur does not have the best voice ever but she is absolutely 100% what this show needs from a winner. Someone with stage presence, someone who can rap, someone who can dance, and she *CAN* sing. Many singers out there don't have the best voice ever - look at Cheryl, she gets criticised for her voice (more than many other popstars with her vocal ability do) but she's had a 12 year career so far in which she's had 9 #1s, 5 of which are solo. Goes to show that you don't need the best voice ever to do well. Andrea will have a covers album out for Mothers' Day because he is NOT a POPSTAR. He's a good singer and him winning The Voice would make sense but he's not a popstar and will be forgotten this time next year.

 

Oh and I totally retract what I said yesterday about Uptown Funk being less good than AIWFCIY. What was I thinking???
