Mariah & Wham free on Google Music

Other Christmas tracks are .19p

Yeah, Leona, The Pouges, Wizzard, East 17, Buble, Shakin Stevens and John Lennon are all seling at 19p - Play has them at

1) The Pogues - Fairytale of New York

2) Wizard - I Wish It could be Christmas Everyday

3) Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody

4) Leona Lewis - One More Sleep

7) East 17 - Stay Another Day

8) John Lennon - Happy Xmas (war is over)

This is why I asked about roughly how much Google Play store contributes to the % of charts, as I'd be interested to know how much this would effect the overall charts.

Same song by different artists at number one and two on iTunes - first time since 'Hallelujah' in 2008?
Why have the Xmas songs seem to have fallen by quite a fair bit? I would have thought Mariah and The Pogues would easily be low top 20's at this point. Maybe they will see a surge next week but I doubt it will be a massive one.

The xmas songs usually stay steady only after the first week of december until after 15th or so then they get another boost. The streaming sales will mean they will continue to rise this year!

Bruno Mars is the 2nd favourite with William Hill bookies to be the Christmas number one behind the x factor winner.

Odds:

2/7 X Factor winner 2014 (Fleur East is the favourite for x factor btw)

5/1 Bruno Mars

11/2 Band Aid 30

7/1 The Pogues

9/1 Iron Maiden

20/1 Peace Collective

Surprised that Bruno Mars is that high in the odds considering he doesn't have a song as lead artist. Is he Beryoncéing his new album?

Also, where is Mark Ronson in that list?

either that or he's a Mark Ronson alias! ;0

I believe she's having oestrogen jabs to counteract it

(Yay Ronson !!)

hahahahahahaha

I think William Hill consider Uptown Funk to be a Bruno Mars song and maybe have forgotten or don't care about Mark Ronson's involvement in all of this.

It would still technically be a #1 for Bruno Mars too and as Mark Ronson isn't likely to have another song there at the top, whereas Bruno could Beyoncé a track he's the more likely option.

I take it the pre orders have been added on to 'Uptown Funk' now? Either that or it's doing very well without them!

1. Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk (feat. Bruno Mars) 1.0000

2. Fleur East - Uptown Funk (X Factor Performance) 0.3536

Mids are in, Band Aid are

#1 6.7k ahead of Oliver

Update in a mo, need to drown a weasel.

So the CD has sold ok not amazingly as im sure the single pre orders for Oliver etc will be around 10-20k! Though its a good sign that it could sell more at the weekend!!
The Saturdays - Christmas Wrapping is only 19p on Google Play Store. Currently at #20, maybe it could chart top 100 this week?

35. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Sam Smith

Trust Sam to pick one of the dullest Xmas songs to cover. I presume he'll be singing this on the XF final then - can't wait :/

Nicki Minaj's album is now available to pre-order and her latest single Bed of Lies is available as an instant grat, bit of a messy release but it make a little appearance.

edit: oh #54 and track 1 is at #60

I know i was saying this yesterday - its been covered so many time. My fav is the Christ Martin version

Think this situation with Uptown Funk goes to show the importance of releasing a download at the right time not too early but not too late either after too much airplay, esp for dance songs see Duke Dumont!!! The ideal way to judge would be to put all singles on spotify immediately and then release the download if it rises. I do realise that the XF situation with Fleur is rather unique though.
