Mel C doesn't hate it really she just has to be seen to be credible. She made me laugh I saw an interview with her and she was asked who she liked on X factor this year and she was like 'I don't really watch it but I like that guy, erm I think his name is Andrea' it looked like how every kid at school used to lie about something like that.

 

She was also scheduled to perform on Xtra factor a few back but got bumped for a 390273724th JLS performance and has been Mel B's guest Judge on Aus X factor.

 

If there was something to gain from it she would do it, I mean Elton slagged the show off and he performed last years final.

 

As has Jessie J and shes also performed, so yeah, get your point! :lol:

 

I'd love Ben to go on Saturday, but can see it being Andrea!

 

I take it no news on the winners singles yet.

 

The duets will be performed on Saturday, hopefully Ben will go on Saturday but I doubt it, as Fleur won't have that much competition over Andrea Sunday night, if that happens.

 

Just so you are aware, the winner's singles have been announced and are in the spoilers thread - as long as the Daily Mirror are a reliable source.

Bit surprised at Ben's song choice. But having gone back and watched his performance of MITM from earlier in the series it was pretty damn good and could be a crowd pleaser. Wonder if he will do it acapella again? Fleur is predictable I guess given the reaction last week but will it wow again doing the same thing so quickly? Maybe they will change it up a bit. Andrea well it doesn't really matter, whatever he sings its always the same and he will shout his way through it anyway.

Thought I'd let people know that Fleur has entered the European Top 200 at #108 with Uptown Funk.

I think Ben's demographic is similar to the Olly Murs one, he appeals to the man on the street, women of all ages and if you wanted to check out his twitter feed,there are loads of young girls who also like Stereo Kicks/ID saying he's hot and these type of comments. He also has a much better voice than Olly (imo) "Housewives" can be anything from mid-twenties to 60's! I think sometimes its forgotten that people above the age of 30 buy a lot of music too and all but one of the people I have talked to who range from 20- 50 (work colleagues/Friends) say they would buy Ben's record (given the right material) Also before all the hype of Fleur's uptown Funk performance, Ben was the favourite. I wouldn't be surprised if he was polling higher than her before the semi at least. As I said before Simon's pimping of Fleur may be in the knowledge that he is already onto a good thing with Ben and so needs to get Fleur into the final as he feels he can market her also.

Yeah I'm 17, in sixth form.. Of course my sample is just small of the people I am aware of so I can't for definite say it's case though :P

 

Also Fleur was the favourite after I'm Every Woman. There's been no defined favourite this year. Andrea, Lauren, Ben and Fleur have all been up there although I think Fleur has had the shortest odds but naturally with only 3 left as there's more of a chance she will win than there was in previous weeks due to less competition. I wouldn't be shocked if either won, the only shock would be if one of them came 3rd and Andrea won :lol:

For me that was a case of thinking that she might snatch it, I wouldn't be surprised if she did, but I was kind of resigned to Matt winning at the same time.

 

When you look at the voting statistics (Matt was first week 2 onwards, Mary in week 1, with Rebecca not up to 2nd up to week 5 or 6 but she was 10-20% behind for a lot of the weeks, the closest she came was ~6% I'm Elton John week and the final), it's impressive Rebecca came within 6% close though.

I don't think the Cardle one was really a shock, personally for me, I couldn't tell who would win from James vs Jahmene, purely because James had been bottom 2 before.

 

Actually yeah, I think the James vs Jahmene outcome was in doubt. Come to think of it, I think some people were even fearing Chris Maloney might win(!!!!) because there'd been leaks about how he was topping the voting. Let us always remember that as a reminder that, no matter how far X Factor has sunk, it could've been even worse.

I agree. I mean bringing someone in would be fine if they were an A list star who would add something, but washed up Tulisa who will ensure the first trending topic for the final is 'what has Tulisa done to her face' isn't exactly going to help the final or X factor.

She was Louis' advisor at judges' houses and she's a former judge, so I'd say she (or someone such as Leona or Alexandra who's at least been a guest judge before) was a natural choice. I agree they don't really need an extra judge on the final but tbf it doesn't matter either way :P
