"Call on me and I'll be standing by your side"

13 | 7.1 | Bette Davis Eyes - HS: 8.5 (Regina) 8 (Mr Aly, JohnKm, Red Blooded Man) LS: 5 (aeroco, Calum Hood) 7 (Simon, liamk97, Heezus, Acidburn)

14 | 6.9 | Mr President - HS: 9 (Regina) 8.5 (aeroco, Calum Hood) LS: 1 (Heezus Froot) 5.5 (JohnKm)

15 | 6.7 | Waiting 4 The Sun - HS: 10 (Regina) 8 (Red Blooded Man, Acidburn) LS: 5 (Mr Aly, Heezus Froot) 6 (JohnKm, Liam, Simon, Calum Hood)

A leftover demo from the KMO sessions manages to place higher than almost half of the songs that actually made it onto the album, goes to show that the leftovers sometimes beat the main event. Waiting 4 The Sun is a gorgeous midtempo number that would fit in so nicely next to If Only. Mr President, one of the bonus tracks is next, the speaky-singy parts remind me of the underrated gem that is Nu-Di-Ty and this song is pretty boppy. Should be on the main album tbh. Kylie reunited with Stuart Price to do a cover of the 80's classic Bette Davis Eyes, for Radio 2. Much better than her other main cover song of the year and well deserving of a high-ish placing here.

'Waiting 4 The Sun' isn't very good, I sort of enjoy 'Mr. President' for its wackiness and her attempt at rapping and whilst I enjoy her version of 'Bette Davis Eyes' I don't find myself going back to it all that often.

In other words, no huge losses here and good to see what looks like a solid top 12.

"And it feels, yeah it feels so good"

11 | 7.22 | Feels So Good - HS: 11 (Heezus) 9.5 (Regina) LS: 4 (Red Blooded Man) 6 (Mr Aly, Liam, Simon, Aeroco)

12 | 7.13 | Golden Boy - HS: 9 (Red Blooded Man, Acidburn) 8 (Mr Aly, Aeroco) LS: 5 (Simon, Heezus) 6 (liamk97)

Golden Boy is another leftover track from the KMO sesisons, although it got a limited release as part of Record Day. A vast improvement on some of the tracks on the album, it might have even peaked top 40 had it been pushed as a single IMO.

Feels So Good is a lovely mellow track that builds up as it goes on. SO close to making the top 10 on this rate and I wish it had. A great summery song to chill out to, what more could you want?

'Golden Boy' is pretty good, a lot more 'Kylie' than some of the album.

'Feels So Good' was initially a highlight, but I've gone off it as her vocal in it is too whiny. :( I prefer the original version of it these days:

I had no idea Feels So Good was a cover. Not surprised at all that the best song on KMO isn't original...
Feels So Good is okay, but not a highlight for me, but love Golden Boy such a fantastic track and Waiting 4 The Sun is nice as well

"Just come and look deep into my eyes, crystallize"

10 | 7.3 | Wait - HS: 8.5 (JohnKM) 8 (Mr Aly, Red Blooded Man, Regina, Heeus, Calum Hood) LS: 4 (Liamk97) 6 (Liam, Simon, aeroco, Acidburn)

09 | 7.6 | Crystallize | HS: 10 (Regina, Acidburn) 8.5 (Johnkm, Aeroco, Acidburn) LS: 3 (Heezus) 6 (Red Blooded Man)

Into the top 10 now. Another Kylie + Garibay song, this time the superb Wait. A really good song, one of the best from the EP and a fine example of how Kylie can retain her own sound while still tweeking it to make it different.

Charity single Crystallize next, a song that Parlophone did not want on the album, however, it beats almost all the KMO tracks on this rate. Kylie sold each note of the song to fans to raise money for charity, a novel idea that worked. All the noted were sold and alotta money was raised. Not a chart hit, but that was never the point in the release of the song, a very Kylie-ish song, fitting in with the sound of IBIY/ATL etc.

Crystalize is so fantastic and hopefully those Garibay tracks will be kept for her next album, (I wish). I still think if those along with Crystalize, Golden Boy and Skirt were placed alongside KMO best tracks such as = Into The Blue, Sexy Love, Les Sex, Kiss Me Once and maybe Feels So Good or If Only, then KMO could have been fantastic, such a shame it's like X all over again.

Okay, upon re-listening, 'Wait' deserved more than a 4 from me.

'Crystallize' is an odd one for me - it does have that magic 'I Believe in You' has but there's something very inferior in comparison. Would have loved it on Kiss Me Once. I don't think that album was as bad as X was for leaving great tracks off though; at least there's no 'Heart Beat Rock' or 'Nu-di-ty' on it! :P

No shade for Heart Beat Rock please. You obviously meant "I wanted to write a song called Cosmic".

I actually quite like 'Cosmic'! :P Although I'd be willing to swap it for any from a handful of X outtakes!

08 | 7.8 | Glow - HS: 10 (Mr Aly, Red Blooded Man, Acidburn) 8 (Liam, aeroco, Calum Hood) LS: 5 (liamk97) 6 (Simon)

Another Garibay track, one more to go, we all know what one that is. One of the more popular songs among fans, not just here but all over. I was not wowed by it, but it's grown on me. The chorus needs work for me, the verses are lovely. Also, the intro is basically the same as the intro to Esto Gaza from Final Fantasy 9, listen to them both and tell me that they are not similar

Totally agree Glow would have been better on the album over a lot of the tracks

07 | 7.9 | Sleeping With The Enemy - HS: 10 (Regina, liamk97, Acidburn) 9 (mr aly, Red Blooded Man) LS: 3 (Heezus Froot) 6.5 (JohnKm)

The last of the two remaining bonus tracks from KMO and easily the best. A dark and moody midtempo track about a man who did the dirty on our Kylie.

A lot of people feel like this shoulda been on the main album and also be a single, me included. It's a bit different for Kylie, kinda. It's like Body Language goes to the dark side.

Ahh, gorgeous! Ludicrous that it was left off the standard tracking list when it's certainly one of the best to come from this era. I'd like to at least think it could have done well if released as a single in a year where many ballads with dancey melodies (a la 'Crying for No Reason') have been successful.
That definitely should have been on the main album! To me it's almost like something from Dannii's Girl era, specifically something like 'Am I Dreaming?'.
