40 - 31

40. Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud

39. Katy Perry - Dark Horse (ft. Juicy J)

38. Beyoncé - XO

37. Lilit Hovhannisyan - Armenian Girl

36. One Direction - Midnight Memories

35. Emmelie de Forest - Rainmaker

34. Mariya Yaremchuk - Tick - Tock

33. Shakira - Can't Remember To Forget You (ft. Rihanna)

32. Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong

31. Alvaro Estrella - All In My Head

Arguably the biggest Q4 hit of 2014 kicks off the top 40. 'Thinking Out Loud' is by far my favourite Ed Sheeran single so far, its success is much deserved. Katy Perry's big hit of the year came from 'Dark Horse' featuring Juicy J. WHERE IS WALKING ON AIR YOU SILLY WOMAN. BJSC entries make up a fair portion of this batch, including 'Armenian Girl' from Allecian/Scruvovnia/Lexico/Sofi Marinova presents Allecian and two Sandebörg flops, 'All In My Head' by Alvaro Estrella (</3) and 'Am I Wrong' originally sent in 2013 but became a big UK hit a year later (much like most European hits). There is also the Ukrainian entry from Eurovision and the official anthem of last year's contest, 'Rainmaker' by Emmelie de Forest.

30 - 21

30. Stockholm Syndrome - Kalabalik

29. Donatan & Cleo - My Slowianie - We Are Slavic

28. Linda Bengtzing - Ta mig

27. Mr Probz - Waves

26. Neon Jungle - Braveheart

25. Alcazar - Blame It On The Disco

24. Linda Pritchard - Drummer Boy

23. Alvaro Estrella - Bedroom

22. One Direction - Night Changes

21. Katy Perry - Birthday

The most recent song on the countdown comes from Stockholm Syndrome's FRANTIC December single 'Kalabalik'. THAT Polish Eurovision entry is also in this batch, along with Melodifestivalen appearances from veterans Linda Bengtzing and Alcazar, and failed newcomer Alvaro Estrella. Mainstream pop hoes will appreciate the likes of Neon Jungle, Katy Perry and One Direction in this section.

Trust me, you don't want to see the live performance of this.

Only human is a great album, XO is my favourite from Beyonce's new album and can't remember to forget you is a great collaboration

I also really braveheart though I hate waves :)

20. Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love

19. 3logy - The Banjo

Onto the home stretch now and kicking off the top 20 is Nicole Scherzinger. After leaving The X Factor in pursuit of a flop pop career (Heads up Nicole, Cheryl has proved you can be an X Factor judge and a half-arsed popstar at the same time you know), Nicole released the fabulous summer slow jam 'Your Love' to mixed reviews and after an extensive promo campaign managed to chart at #6 on the official chart, despite being midweek #2 :drama: At #19 is the second of my 2 BJSC qualifiers of 2014, 'The Banjo' by 3logy. An unashamed rip-off of 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii, featuring vocals by Susanne Louise, although you could be forgiven for thinking it was Zara Larsson singing!

YASS 1D slaying in the albums. 'FOUR' really is incredible zaynsdic

'Thinking Out Loud', 'Night Changes' and 'Birthday' too <3 I got worried when I saw 'Stockholm Syndrome' there :kink:

Don't worry, it'll be my 2015 EOY #1 when it breaks Bryan Adams' chart record for the longest running number 1 single. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_18_icon.gif

18. Ace Wilder - Riot

17. Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down

The saviour of Swedish pop music for 2014, Miss no-bleeding-way-is-she-31 Ace Wilder and 'Riot'. After ruling the Swedish charts for the first part of the year with her still to come Melodifestivalen entry, her follow-up single certainly did not disappoint. At #17 is Rita Ora's 'I Will Never Let You Down'. Poor Rita's year didn't exactly go to plan after Calvin Harris took her album back off her. The bastard.

16. Molly Sandén - Freak

15. Clean Bandit - Rather Be (ft. Jess Glynne)

Swedish songstress Molly Sandén and her sole single of 2014 is at #16. 'Freak' is a true masterclass in how to do a haunting pop ballad. With the beautiful build-up and Molly's stunning vocals it is truly a moment to listen to. At #15 is one of the biggest hits of the year from Clean Bandit. Teaming up with Jess Glynne they created the mammoth 'Rather Be'! Unlike other big UK hits of 2014 (o hi Pharrell) I'm still not sick of this at all!

14. Mei Finegold - Same Heart

13. Molly - Children Of The Universe

Approaching the top 10 now and we have two of three remaining 2014 Eurovision tracks on the countdown make their appearance. Israel's Mei Finegold and the year's token gay favourite that flopped on its arse in the semis is at #14. 'Same Heart' is half English and half Hebrew, with 'ata shotek' unfortunately sounding very much like 'I touch your dick'...

Unlucky is a very good word to some up this year's #13. The UK entry in 2014 saw the BBC get dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century when it came to selecting an entry. Molly Smitten-Downes was found via BBC Introducing and with her own modern, contemporary composition 'Children Of The Universe', was the UK finally going to do the unthinkable and win again? Well we all know the outcome and as such, I have been banned from making predictions on this year's contest by my family.

At the start of this video, in the UK's postcard, I would very much like to track down the moron that decided to look up at the moment the picture was taken and smack him

12. One Direction - Steal My Girl

11. Sia - Chandelier

#12 on the countdown is 'Steal My Girl', the lead single from 1D's fourth studio album. The bridge between their third and fourth albums, it saw the band take a slightly more mature route, however I think it's their most classic boyband sounding single so far. With an absolutely massive chorus and adlibs none of us are worthy of from Zayn, it's already a 1D essential.

Sia made her grand return to pop after many years of writing everybody else's hit singles. 'Chandelier' however, she kept for herself and what a fantastic decision that was! Such powerful, emotional delivery not only in the song, but also in the video. Not even seasoned wailer Andrea Faustini could take away what a brilliant song this is and remains.

Late to the party but 'I Will Never Let You Down', 'Rather Be', 'Steal My Girl' and 'Chandelier' All fabulous songs, altho what a FLOP re. 'Steal My Girl' :o get your loon glasses back on!!11 zaynsdic

Not guilty!

I so wish Molly hadn't let out those 'WHOO's during her performance but there we go, still a fantastic pop song and great entry and I'm glad to see it doing well here!
