After a promising start to the chart run for 'Pills N Potions' (08-06...), Nicki Minaj's first lead single of the year bombed out of my personal chart with just two more weeks in my Top 40. It's a very pleasant song but its appeal wore thin quite quickly. :( Nevertheless it is a lot better than 'Only' and 'Bed Of Lies', two other singles from her latest album 'The Pinkprint'. However, 'Anaconda' is something of a major guilty pleasure...

Eek... somehow Enrique Iglesias single 'I'm A Freak' (featuring Mr Worldwide himself, Pitbull, dale, loco ^_^) performed sufficiently well in my chart to rank as high as 152nd. Despite a modest #20 peak in my chart, 8 weeks of hanging around the Top 40 evidently saw its total points amount to over 100. Although, I guess in a "leave your brain at the door" way it was reasonably enjoyable... I feel ashamed. x

Kylie's 'Crystallize' was a stand-alone single released in aid of the "One Note Against Cancer" charity. It's rather lovely, and I'd regard it as being better than at least half of the tracks that actually made it onto the 'Kiss Me Once' album - including 'I Was Gonna Cancel'. Said song peaked at a mere #59 in the UK charts, and only made it to #24 in my personal chart. Superior to both of the aforementioned tracks is the magnificent 'Into The Blue', which really deserved to be a lot more successful than it was (#12). Even Pixie's 'Nasty' made the Top 10 in the same week. Poor Kylie!

Poor 'Pulls N Position' (I actually wrote that at first when I was writing the commentary, what on earth  ). It's lovely, I just got bored of it incredibly quickly. Maybe I should have given it another chance! :o I didn't even watch the music video. #beanofsilliness

It's the actual proper version of Wasted; Wasted was not censored in Jayrusalem! :o :heehee:

YAY FOR THOSE 50 SONGS. I was gonna put some effort in but the first song that greeted me when reading that list was Money On My Mind and I swiftly felt queasy.

hooray for the philip george, little mix, emmelie de forest's of the countdown tho <3

Great sections! Animals, White Walls, Money On My Mind, and Don't are all massive faves of mine  Clearly not massive faves of yours, but at least they're here!

I especially love seeing all of the words capitalized  Trouble With My Baby, Story Of My Life, etc. Yay!

I feel like that was an undeservedly short chart run for Katy B's 'Still', which contributes to a rather low EOY position of #142. Watch out for 'Crying For No Reason' much later on in the countdown.

Dami Im - 'Super Love' was a BJSC entry back in July for Oslol, and I'm pretty sure that makes it the highest peaking BJSC related song in my personal chart!

'Gecko (Overdrive)' by Oliver Heldens was a UK #1 in 2014, but only managed #13 with me. Follow up single 'Last All Night (Koala)' fared much better at #2, and is still to come here.

Not even top 100.

'Go Deep' smashing the top 200 here :o I'd kinda forgot about it, but it's a rather delightful track nonetheless! 'Always' is really quite underrated too, still really like that song

Let's speed things up Jay ma boy :cheer:

^ I really liked it for a moment~! It was a shame that it didn't do anything chart-wise (to the best of my knowledge anyway  )

Mariah Carey's seminal Christmas classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' was back in my chart for its 10th Christmas. It peaked at #1 in its first run in 2005, but hasn't topped my chart since. However it has re-entered my Top 10 every Christmas, and in 2014 it reached a high of #7. In total it has spent 50 weeks in my Top 40, 20 of those weeks being within the Top 10 and 34 within the Top 20. It's one of the 10 best scoring songs in my chart history. The only "retro" songs to have made my personal chart are Christmas classics - no "ordinary" singles released prior to 2004 have entered (I started my personal chart in January 2005, so some late 2004 releases start off my chart history).

Poor Pixie Lott didn't have a great year in the UK charts, with her most recent singles bombing. One of those was 'Caravan of Love', which failed to reach the UK Top 100. However it performed nicely here, peaking at #8. That was a great improvement on 'Nasty' and 'Lay Me Down', which both peaked at #24 and thus failed to make my EOY Top 200.

3LAU provided me with my most successful BJSC entry to date, back in August 2014! It managed 5th place in the contest, and also peaked at #5 in my personal chart. To date it is my only BJSC entry to enter my personal chart. That's not to say I didn't like my previous entries, I just didn't feel the need to chart them.

Joseph Fave™ 'Wiggle' by Jason Derulo only peaked at #19, but it achieved a fairly strong run for its peak which translated into 118 points, enough to crack my EOY Top 140. Jason has had mixed fortunes in my personal charts. He's achieved one #1 to date with 'Talk Dirty' (which I wouldn't even consider to be my favourite Jason Derulo single, funnily enough - it must have been a slow week!) while 'Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'The Other Side' both peaked at #2. However he has missed my Top 10 with eight of his singles, the worst peaking of those being 'The Sky's The Limit' (#36) and 'Undefeated' (#38).

5 Seconds of Summer scored four Top 20 hits in my chart in 2014, the first three of those all peaking within the Top 10. 'Good Girls' just missed out at #11.

I have to admit that the 2014 Sports Relief single 'Word Up!' is by far my least favourite Little Mix single. I'd go as far as to say that it didn't deserve its peak of #9, and doesn't deserve placing this high in my EOY! It was looking to miss out on my Top 10 completely, but I gave the single more of a chance during the week that Sports Relief aired, which saw the single rise to #9. It crashed down to #36 the following week. I much prefer 'Little Me', which is 5 places lower down here. That's only because three of its charting weeks were within 2013.

Jennifer Lopez's performed modestly well here with 'Booty', which peaked at #7 but only spent 1 week inside my Top 20. However it hung around the bottom half of my chart for two months. This single wasn't a hit in the UK, only reaching #137, however it performed much better in the US where it reached #18 (largely thanks to the music video streams counting towards the Billboard Hot 100).

David Guetta was once a regular Top 10 hit-maker in my chart, but as of late he's struggled. From 2009 to 2012 he racked up 16 consecutive Top 10 hits, starting with 'When Love Takes Over' (#1) and finishing with 'She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)' (#5), before 'Rest Of My Life' broke that run by only placing at #17. He did have a couple of non-charting singles within that time period, but this is only focusing on singles which actually charted. His most recent 5 singles have all missed the Top 10, including 'Bad'. 'Bad' reached #14 back in May 2014, but nevertheless it outperformed 'Shot Me Down' (#12) and 'Dangerous' (#13) in terms of chart points & longevity.

I see some good stuff and some bad stuff here x

Good - Real Love, Wild Heart, Oh Céline Dion, Good Girls, Big Ball Booty, Melissa "Bellamia" Steel feat. Popcorn :jameela: and Queen Mariah *.*

Bad - Turn Back Time, Wiggle, Word Up

You also seem to have missed out #136
