I wonder how fast One Direction will get a good position. I'm predicting top 50 by tomorrow.

Are the updates still coming slow from spotify?

Anyone know whee we can find apple streaming charts?

Apple: nowhere it seems it's still the same as the iTunes chart

So that's just a sales chart tho? I would love to see it, I'd say its similar to spotify though. Spotify seems to be slow to update these days, for instance it was until today's chart that I realised John Newmans song was falling quickly out of the top 10'obv due to a lack of streams building up making it stable and a big hit.
omg :o that's such a huge start for them, #1 in the bag now surely?

I guess, with such low sales... yap.

1D have even gone and debuted at #1 on the global chart, I'm amazed.

1Ds fans clearly pushing this to be #1 then, imagine it'll easily do it anyway as there's no competition

I think Zayn leaving One Direction has just brought new interest into the group tbh. Their singles usually miss #1, so this single doing better than usual right after the split suggests that Zayn leaving is the reason.

I think we'll see in the long run if this is One Direction fans manipulating the chart to get #1. If it free-falls on Spotify after this week after it achieves the #1, then they were just streaming to get chart points. If it stays high after this week then they were streaming because they like the song (realistically a bit of both is probably going on, but in what ratios is the question).

The only other songs I've seen climb Spotify this fast are Get Lucky by Daft Punk and Blame by Calvin Harris. I think other held-back songs have done it, but that's not quite the same.

Calvin is very good in getting instant streaming hits then! His current hit took off quickly which ensures a strong top-10 run. But they really need a video, right now it's about time. :(

It's gonna get release soon with Gigi Haddid.

There has been an update. Calvin Harris is up to #8, and the Weeknd are up to #7 however very little of interest going on elsewhere.

Incidentally One Direction's daily streams have fallen to 179K.

Quite surprising that Sigma/Ella have not managed to enter the top 50 yet, especially since the song is holding up so well on iTunes. I'm sure that will cost them a few places on Friday when streaming gets included.
So if One Direction daily streams was 4.75 mln, and only 230 k comes from uk it means that 95% of their streams comes from outside uk, i didn't know that they are so much popular worldwide.
