Yeh that's why Hoziers first hit did so well in January. Spotify seems dodgy the way songs do well - if they're on certain playlists they do well etc. although I haven't used it so I'm just saying what I see chart wise.

The playlists certainly help skew the charts - I often listen to playlists and I'm sure that record companies pay to have their latest track as the first or second song on a playlist to ensure it gets played

Lean On back to #1 :cheer: would love this to do what Omi did on the Wiz/Omi week 3 battle

no chance - Jason Derulo is well ahead of the competition, and they probably won't even overtake Cheerleader (unless you were talking about Lean On going to #1 next Sunday, in which case is a possibility but I doubt it will happen)

Friday midweeks:

1 Jason Derulo (42.2k)

2 Omi (34.6k)

3 Major Lazer x DJ Snake feat. MO (29.9k)

4 Skrillex & Diplo feat. Justin Bieber (26.2k)

5 Natalie La Rose feat. Jeremih (24.2k)

I meant the following week. Of course it won't be #1 this week but if it keeps gaining on Derulo on iTunes with being #1 on Spotify I can see it as a big possibility next week. I expect it to be extremely close. Anything can happen with low sales and streaming have an advantage at the weekend.

Stalled a bit now - 73% still - wish it would get a week Derulo isn't big enough to get 4 weeks at the top
Has Brinty been released on Spotify yet?
Has Brinty been released on Spotify yet?

I would also like to know this. :P

Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor's 'Marvin Gaye' and Sigma & Ella Henderson's 'Glitterball' are both now on Spotify!

This was already on there last week as I've streamed it about 3 times in the past week. Excellent that Sigma are on there though. Fingers crossed this goes top 40 on streams alone

Ah I thought it might have been on before, I just guessed that they may have put it on today like with the iTunes pre-order. :D

the top 50 has updated~

22  WALK THE MOON

24  Jessie J

29  The Week'nd (The Hills)

35  Lost Frequencies

The Spotify app has gone a bit mad and is now showing the chart from weeks (months?) ago with Rihanna at #1 followed by Years & Years, James Bay, Mark Ronson & Ellie Goulding... Sure they will benefit from a few extra spins from people just streaming the 'UK Top 50' playlist.
