People are raving over Sugar yet poor Katy Perry's Birthday was a flop. :lol: I don't understand especially since Animals, which I think is more interesting and appealing, flopped. I don't think the video is anything extra special.

 

Really high debut for Ellie already! :o I can definitely see it climbing to #2 in a few days given how many streams it currently has and it could top Uptown Funk too.

I think 'Sugar' is a better version of Birthday. I don't care about the video. It's easily Maroon 5's best single in ages for me though. I fully understand why it's doing so well.

Rich and Mango will happy to know 'Geronimo' is back on the climb. 65. The highest I've seen it yet just hope it can start going up faster now!

I'm in the Maroon 5 haters club anyway, but 'Animals' is an especially horrible song even by their standards, with all those screechy vocals and the dodgy lyrics. Presumably the video wasn't shown a lot in daytime either.

It's already out, it's just not selling much (#259 on iTunes). Seems like it's just doing well on Spotify due to being a hit in other countries so it's on a lot of playlists etc.

That and the Today's Top Hits playlist, where it was first for weeks (and still currently 2nd behind 'Sugar'). If something appears to be doing well on Spotify randomly, chances are that's the cause.

Good to see Kygro moving high up the chart hopefully it'll force the hands of radio stations!

I think that's from yesterday, the top 200 hasn't updated yet today. I don't have access to the desktop top 100 chart at work.

Ellie is still #2 on the desktop top 100 and I don't think there are any new entries (Outlines is up to #81).
