If you were expecting/hoping for a peak in the mid-teens then yes she was climbing at a good rate but the speed of her climb was nowhere near fast enough for the kind of position one would expect from her (i.e top 3 on iTunes). So it was a slow climb, and I'm not surprised she's stalled as a result.

C'mon Meghan, I think Mark Ronson could potentially do better on physicals but it's a rather encouraging start on iTunes for Meghan.

To be fair it's up to #9 now, but I agree that this didn't smash like Kelly would have five years ago.

 

It could just be diminishing returns (she's been in the biz for over 12 years now), but my honest opinion is the single really falls flat... sounds like a million other songs and doesn't really have a lot of Kelly's personality. Just my unsolicited opinion tho.

Kelly has done incredibly well in remaining relevant, nobody from American Idol, The Voice, X Factor has been that successful in the United States minus her and she's somehow always managed to remain relevant despite not having the biggest fanbase.

Carrie Underwood is actually just as successful than Kelly in the US, if not more so! According to Wikipedia:

That's not to say Kelly's success isn't impressive, because it definitely is.
