So much to choose from this week, they've got no excuse to not have a big clearout!

 

Got a sneaky feeling they might just add Axwell Λ Ingrosso as it's doing reasonably well in the charts. I still don't get why they didn't add it in the first place, it sounds right up their street.

 

Given up all hope of them adding Jessie Ware or Sheppard.

Potential for Luke Friend too today, right? Out the same week as Bloodstream. Not really sure whether they'll support him, he seems like their kinda artist but equally he seems like someone they'd snub, at first at least.

I have a feeling 'I'm a Ruin' by Marina might actually be released, since they've played it quite a few times now, and she seems to have generated a good amount of hype.

 

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for Jessie Ware having a late add. Radio 1 have been less predictable with what and when they add things recently.

I don't know when the impact date is, but maybe Ariana Grande's 'One Last Time' is in with a shout?

Yeah this would be the right week for it to be added but for some reason I can't see them supporting him, like you say they'll probably snub him at first and then if he proves that he can get a couple of hits they might start supporting him. Then again they supported Ella from the off, so who knows really.

WHAT? Radio 1 didn't support 'When The Beat Drops Out' from the offset? :huh: (I've seen the playlists of recent weeks, it just never registered with me until now that they've snubbed it!)

 

That is possibly the most bizarre snub I've seen in ages. :\ - It's SO R1, it hurts.

Agree with a lot of these possible new entries I can see them playlisting Ben Howard, Circa Waves, Dr.Kucho!, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Kygo (Maybe though), Madeon (Maybe), Rae Morris and with Jack Garratt and Joesph Salvat in the INMWT playlist

Kygo was TOTD last wednesday and Rae Morris was TOTD on Saturday, so I'm pretty certain these will be added either today or next week, but most likely today!!

Eric Prydz vs. CHVRCHES - Tether --- [50/50 as R1 like CHVRCHES, but haven't playlisted Eric in a long while]

 

Radio 1 did have 'Liberate' on their INMWT list last year, so hopefully there's a good chance....plus as you said they love Chvrches.

Tether will 100% get playlisted I think. R1 love both Eric Prydz and CHVRCHES. Eric Prydz just doesn't release chart friendly songs very often which is why he's rarely on the playlist
