Do we know what the UK impact date is for Elastic Heart? It might not be for ages... I hope it does get playlisted it though, while it's high in the charts. Would be so annoying if it ended up being a high selling top 20 and not going top 10.

I'm not sure, but they'd be silly not to add it while it's doing well (although they are usually quite strict and will only add songs according to their impact date).

I can see them playlisting All Time Low and Sia maybe Zak Abel - These are the days not sure when his impact date is but a lot of DJ's like him and INMWT add most likely Stormzy - Know me from only one I can think off

Greg kept playing it yesterday after realising how good radio jingles have been in the past and how those type of jingles should be brought back like he used to do for his show

really hoping Something New and Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) can get playlisted tonight! It would be silly to ignore the latter considering it's top 50 on Spotify UK, and the former sounds like a big hit in the waiting.

 

Also wonder if it's too late for I'm An Albatraoz or if they're going to ignore it on the basis of it being too novelty. (or more likely, it's just been pushed back yet again and R1 have already been told this)

There still obsessed with a lot of songs that they playlisted, really wish they would use their old playlists to use like the other BBC stations it can get boring sometimes listening to the same old songs all of the time :(

 

That's the main reason I switched to radio 2 (to hoorays at BBC hierarchy that they finally managed to get rid of an older listener). Radio 2 don't playlist oldies, and they play anything at all from any era. Radio 1 is just like American pop radio in format, all about formulaic strategy, target audiences and with no reference to older music at all (Radio 1 throughout it's history played proper oldies, and didn't repeat the same tracks, including when it was set up to appeal to young people). Granted they choose their playlist less from what people actually like and more from what they think a 19-year-old might like....

:wub: Great song, hope it can be another addition to the dance hits of the year. Known it for quite a while now (heard it for the first time around the same time as 'Rhymes', which was a few weeks before that was confirmed for a release) but didn't know if it was going to be properly released or not. Out 22 Feb it seems, so hopefully to be added to the R1 playlist within the next two weeks.
