RE The Weeknd track, Its clearly going to rise up the chart once it gets airplay as since release it hasnt fallen down the chart much at all, always a good sign!

I haven't heard it played on Radio 1. I think someone said it had been played on Radio 2. They released the video at midnight last night and I think it's really good. It's so radio friendly that it would be a shame for them to be snubbed yet again. I could imagine it doing well if only the record gets played, but maybe I'm just biased as I really like their music. Catchy chorus, but I can't see it having anywhere near the same level of success as 'Love Me Again', can't even see it being #1.

Nowhere near as good as LMA was. It's also R2's record of the week so I'd presume it'll get another big boost but nah not for me.

Agreed. I liked them but certainly a drop after 'Love Me Again'. Not that he'll top that, I don't think, but 'Come and Get It' is a return to form.

TOTD for Wed 24th June - Sigma feat. Ella Henderson 'Glitterball'

 

 

Easily my favourite Sigma track to date, and Ella's vocals suit it perfectly. I'm thinking this is a #1 contender.

it is a lot better than 'Higher' anyway, so I think it should at least return them to the top 5. It looks like the biggest new release of its release week anyhow, although if it wants to be #1 it'll have to take on Waiting For Love (which by then would have spent a week at #1, after initially climbing to #2 behind Little Mix).

Easily the worst Sigma single yet.

Certainly on the money for a summer hit. I reckon radio will support it well....

I can't see too much on the release schedule they could add today, but here's a few possibilities:

 

Fuse ODG - Only (should have been added last week based on impact date but hopefully just a late add)

John Newman - Come And Get It (pretty much definite)

Maverick Sabre - Walk Into The Sun (they used to love him though I'm not sure if he'll get continued support or not)

Sounds good actually... nice that they're still featuring the charts a bit on a Sunday and also R1 doing a show that celebrates pop music is great.

Sounds ok typical of radio 1s quest to make it a youthful station. Cel is only 19 that's really young, sounds like a real presenter rather than music person. Nice to hear the no1 tracks they play between 6-7pm.

 

Still such a contrast between the 4-7 show and the rock show from 7pm lol
